Are Indictments Against 2 GOP Politicians Being Held Back 'til 11/8?
Are Indictments Against 2 More GOP Politicians Being Held Back Till After Elections?

Rumors flying out of the US Justice Department say that three new indictments in the Jack Abramoff bribery scandal are now prepared but are being held back until after Election Day.

The few remaining Democratic attorneys in the Bush Justice Department have been grumbling about the obvious political agenda behind this delay. More Members of Congress falling to the Abramoff investigation is hardly the October Surprise that Karl Rove has been looking for.

The two about to face the music are Senator Conrad Burns of Montana and Congressman John Doolittle of California according to sources inside Justice.

They are all in tough races and the Republicans clearly know that election-eve indictments would seal the fates of all three.

But far beyond that the last thing the Republicans need is more news stories about corruption in Congress. The question know is * have Bush and Rove interfered in an ongoing Justice Department investigation because of a political agenda?

2. Make the rumors the news. Buchanan says more on Foley

or Foley type news. More on Abrahmoff news. Not much official Dems or we can do about the substance of the rumor, but there is plenty they and we can do about the possible interference by public paid imployees. Talk it up. See what your representative is saying about it. Maybe there is something we can use. Especially the Abramoff postponed indictments.
