Hailp! Cecil! Hailp!
I'm comin Beanie Boy!

I wrote an off the cuff LTTE and they up and published it. It was rebutted and I am trying to assemble a list of crimes that demonstrate overwhelmingly that the repubican party is a criminal enterprise.

I would like to start the first 4 sub threads for classes of instances:
Tried and guilty.
Indicted.
Under Investigation.
Reported.

I suggest using the subject to name the person and office/relationship. I think it will be fun and cathartic, and useful in the last days before the mid-term.

My letter:
I'll see your Second Amendment, and raise you the First, Fourth, Fifth, and Article One.

While I have to agree with {Writer I Replied to} in support of the Second Amendment ("The fate of sheep at hands of wolves," Oct. 9), the past 12 years of voting Republican has cost the country:

-- Article One (Habeas Corpus is now moot with the passage of the Military Tribunals Act);

-- The First Amendment (several examples of paid propaganda, suppression of rights of redress in The Sibel Edmonds Case);

-- The Fourth Amendment (Terrorist Surveillance Act of 2006);

-- The Fifth Amendment (again the Military Tribunals Act);

-- The good international reputation of our Nation;

-- Literally trillions of dollars from our children's treasury; and

-- Our ability to defend ourselves by breaking the Army in undersupported conflicts justified by fraudulent claims.

Why on earth would a sane person find an alleged threat to the Second Amendment a reason to continue to support the above listed actual constitutional infringements?

These are simply the tip of the iceberg of the reasons we should vote Democratic this November. It's high time the Republican crime machine is held accountable -- and I for one don't think electing Republicans will be productive in accomplishing that.

And the rebuttal:

A letter writer ("Concerns about Constitution created by the Republicans," Oct. 23) stated that the Constitution has been compromised by the Republicans. In response to his arguments:

1) Article One (Habeas Corpus) has not been deleted (unless you are a terrorist). These terrorists are not covered by the U.S. Constitution, period. --2) The Fourth and Fifth amendments (Terrorist Surveillance Act of 2006) pertain to people who want to harm the U.S. and kill anyone who disagrees with them (Republicans and Democrats alike).

I don't consider the present administration a Republican crime machine. This is the outlook of the far Left and this disturbs me to no end. We vote for candidates we think will do a good job running the country. If our choices win, we back them -- and when they lose, we condemn the winners instead of supporting the majority that is in office.

We have two standard parties and an independent group (this includes Libertarians) that need to come together once they are elected and work for the better of the country and the citizens. They are not elected to serve the Republican and Democratic National committees. The infighting going on in Washington needs to stop and unity needs to be established; this will bring back the "good international reputation of our nation."

I don't recommend voting for a certain party, but instead voting for the person you think will, if elected, do the best for the nation.

I am too liberal to be a Republican and too conservative to be a Democrat, and I will vote for the candidates I think will serve the people the best -- and not the party line.

8. pffft!
"Article One (Habeas Corpus) has not been deleted (unless you are a terrorist)." - Bull shit. If Bushler says you are a terrorist, even though all you did, as an American citizen expressing your First Amendment right to free speech, was to protest in public, then you are a goddamn terrorist 'cuz Bushler said so.

"These terrorists are not covered by the U.S. Constitution, period." - Bull shit. Yes they are. Even though they maybe be horrible criminals we must treat ALL individuals on our soil in accordance with the same law that governs its own citizens. Otherwise, we may become JUST LIKE THE ENEMY.

"The Fourth and Fifth amendments (Terrorist Surveillance Act of 2006) pertain to people who want to harm the U.S. and kill anyone who disagrees with them (Republicans and Democrats alike)." - No, it applies to ANYONE.

"I don't consider the present administration a Republican crime machine." - Why must we suffer YOUR ignorance?

"This is the outlook of the far Left and this disturbs me to no end."- 'Good goobidy goo! That chicken sho' tastes good Fred!'

9. Yeah, I got those points pretty well covered...
What I'm looking for is a list of crimes that I can include and ask the Editor to elide and count the entries.

Good goobidy goo!

11. Excellent synapsis of the ravages to the Constitution by BushCo
Nothing could be more radical than their pillaging of the Constitution--yet they attempt to label dissenters as the "far left."

God. When will this madness end? And how?

bookmarked.
