Cheney: the insurgents are on the Internet "all the time"

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,226339,00.html

<snip>

CAVUTO: Do you think, though, that the insurgents are better at these polls than even we are, that they are reading them and seeing frustration growing with the war, and, regardless of the good economy, saying: Let's keep up the attacks; let's keep up the pressure?

CHENEY: It's my belief that they're very sensitive of the fact that we have got an election scheduled.

And, you know, they can get on the Web sites like anybody else. There isn't anything that's on the Internet that's not accessible to them. They're on it all the time. They're very sophisticated users of it. And I do believe that that's a part of it.

1. Well, well well
they are on the last throes to no longer under estimating them... I wonder, if they are planning a full clamp down on the web...

And the first test was the US military

11. also "on the web sites." Makes "the web sites" sound like breeding grounds of
threats to democracy as we know it.

9. But so what?
Edited on Tue Oct-31-06 12:54 PM by BattyDem
So what if the insurgents and every other person in the world - both good and bad - is tracking the US election? What's wrong with that? We often track the elections in other countries, especially when there could be a major change in policy because of the outcome. Why wouldn't other people do the same when WE have an election?

Hey Dick ... elections are what happen in a democracy - they don't need to be hidden and unaccessible! :grr:
