3. Those who lose elections need to find a reason why they lost besides
'the other side recieved more votes.'

4. It will say that the election results are a mystery
Regardless of the outcomes no one can trust elections until we have a verifiable auditing system in place. If the Dems take both houses on Tuesday it will mean nothing. OK it would friggin rock of course. But ultimately it will not mean we are protected. The vulnerabilites are still the same, fraud may have occurred unsuccessfully and all subsequent elections would still be in doubt and democracy still in jeopardy. It would be another first step in a long journey- that is all.

5. We still have to fix the system
We need an independently verifiable voting system regardless of which party wins. Vote counting should never have been secret in the first place.

them.

8. Well, why do you think the Chavez-owns-Sequioa stuff
finally made it into the corp
It's never a "big deal" for republicans unless they might lose..

Watch for tons of "articles" being fed to right wing blogs , lamenting the Chavez-ing of THEIR congress :)

The positive part of this might be a real push for going back to paper.

10. As George Bush Senior would say
"Ain't gonna happen." Where is everyone living? MARS. Do you get HBO? I think we are going to win squat. BUT PLEASE be correct and shove this in my face on 11/8 (truly!). I would love to be wrong. I would love for this nightmare to be over. I just don't think fascists let power go so easily especially when you can leave no trace.

12. If we don't take the house, it will be overwhelming proof that skullduggery
Is going on. Even some repukes don't like that idea, and the investigations will tear the GOP apart. They can't take that chance...it's like in baseball. You may be able to steal signs, but if you do it too often, the other team figures it out and figures out how you're doing it. So you only steal signs in really dire situations to minimize the danger of getting caught. Trying to steal 15 house races means you're 15 times as likely to get caught.

But these guys are so stupid and vicious, they just might try anyway.

13. Tin foil hatted...
It will mean that the fraudsters are going to allow the dems to win just enough not to have questions, succeeding in quelling the building attention to the machines. The momentum will disappear until the next (small) election where attention- and thus momentum- will be ignored. So that in '08 they'll take the big prize once again.:tinfoilhat:

14. Everybody cheats.....
If you saw the HBO special you heard that hacking is not restricted to Republicans. Everybody cheats in elections.

We - the Dems - may win and win big on Tuesday. But too many elections, on Tuesday, will be fixed. Maybe not the ones we have been following. But in state elections, counties and municipalities.

And it will not stop on Tuesday. In fact, Tuesday will be a good starting day to revolt against the machines. Kill them. Kill them all.

Paper ballots with manual voting - with your pencil. Manual (people) tabulators - on live TV with the whole world watching. Take too long? Who says so? And so what !

It is time....Now....kill the machines.
