17. Or perhaps they should be interrogated as enemy combatants:
there seems to be a larger conspiracy here to subvert American democracy. :grr:

3. Just when you think the scum sucking neocon pig Wilson
can't get any worse, she surprises us.

I SO want her bony butt out of office.

Naturally, none of the local stations has a word about this on any of their websites.

(I keep telling people if they vote for her, they're going to have to watch another four months of vicious and nauseating attack ads on TV in another 2 years.)

5. They Are Using These Robo Call All Over The Country To Supress The Vote
This is making me fucking sick. These lowlife mutherfuckers.

In other parts of the country they are using robo calls to HARASS voters by repeatedly calling back after the person hangs up and MAKING IT SEEM LIKE IT'S THE DEM CANDIDATE!!

8. Cheating, Lying, and Stealing must be a genetic Republican trait
Someone ought to do some study on that.

I hope these bastards serve some good jail time for that.

9. Remove these people from our society.
It's like playing illegally in a game. You get removed. I assume some of our laws still work?

They should find those responsible and remove their ability to play in democracy.

Damn these vile creatures.

12. Does Olberman know about this? It would be a great Monday
night election-eve theme for a show--Republican dirty tricks neatly targeted to all three main groups of voters:

1. Independents: Counter MJ Fox's successful appeals to them with any and every tactic that would depress their vote turnout, such as annoying robo-calls ostensibly from Democrats.

2. Democrats: Put up bureaucratic barriers like "Voter ID", carry out fake voter registration campaigns after which all Democratic cards go to the dumpster rather than the Bureau of Elections, station armed, arm-banded thugs at the polls to intimidate voters, target disnfo to Democratic demographics, etc.

3. Throw red meat to the fundie GOP base, such as anti-gay marriage referenda, to maximize their turnout.

Voila! Republican "victory", with less than 20 percent of the voting-age population, properly measured.

15. I did early voting two days ago and Hispanics were lined up around
the building in a relatively gringo area. I just know 90% of them were voting for Madrid! The number of Heather Wilson signs in the North East Heights (wealthy area) is tiny compared to last time. I have seen tons of Madrid bumper stickers and ZERO for Wilson. Madrid will win here, bank on it!

But still vote!

16. Some context:
Edited on Mon Nov-06-06 12:43 AM by phiddle
Incumbent Heather Wilson (R-Bushbot) won re-election 2 years ago thanks to an enormous advantage in absentee balloting. One of the chiefs in the Patricia Madrid (D-current state AG)campaign told me tonight that Howard Dean had decided to make this district a laboratory for an early/absentee drive, and it appears now to have paid off. Result--there's been a huge amount of early and absentee voting.
Republicans have a slight lead in the # of absentee (mail) ballots requested, while (reportedly) the total of early Republican + Independent early voters (at polling sites) is slightly less than the total number of Dem early voters. Polls have shown Madrid with a consistent lead: 9 points by Zogby 2 weeks ago, tightening to 4 points in a poll relased today by the Albuquerque Journal. But, it appears that Wilson cannot be saved by the absentee/early vote--she'll have to win it Tuesday, although she's behind in the polls. Hence, get down and dirty.
