5. It also implies that it's possible to "win." I reject the premise.

24. Exactly. "Framed" again.
There is no 'winning' in Iraq.
There is only trying to extract ourselves with minimum further damage to ourselves and Iraqis.
And that is going to be very, very difficult.
Thanks, George**.

14. Reality is not the media's forte.
They call it a 'war' when it's actually an illegal military occupation. They repeatedly spout the notion of 'win' when over 700,000 Iraqis are dead already. 'Win'? 'Win' what? Insane. Truly, deeply insane.

7. Is winning in Iraq mean that the US. has controlled the Oil flow?
I mean let's face it, if Iraq had, say...the largest peanut farms on the planet Bush never would have invaded...correct?

8. And why do we always have to have a win/lose mentality?
I mean, phhht!

Do you have a plan to win your dinner?
Do you have a plan to win New Year's Eve?
Do you have a plan to win your library books?

10. That's one of Dobbs' dumbest polls ever.
Aside from the implicit dissing of the Democrats, the fact is that there's no "win" anymore. Nobody has a plan to "win" (whatever that is) because it's no longer possible. What the Democrats do have is a plan (several of them, actually) for damage control, since that's all there is left. The outcome will be bad no matter what the "plan" is because Bush shouldn't have invaded in the first place and he had no plan for the aftermath. So all that can be done now is figure out how to leave in the least damaging fashion. What a dumbass poll.

12. It was the Real Security Act
It's almost 600 pages we should all send it to any pundit that says that Dems don't have a plan. the wrote it, Named it, distributed it, the GOP voted it down and now it's like they never existed. Hey Lou get a clue!

13. Well do we? Does our party have a plan?
Tough question.
Especially since a large number of our elected democratic officials voted for the war.
And second, your assuming that its winnable?

16. Plan for what?
Nobody EVER defines the word 'win' in terms of what the U.S. has any control over.

15. What a stupid question!
The whole point is that Iraq is UNWINNABLE, that we should never have gotten bogged down there in the first place, that the only thing to do now is to get the hell out before we're thrown out, and to supply building materials at the border after we're out of there and some sort of government has presented itself.

19. Yeah, it's like winning an earthquake or a hurricane
And I'll go with the car driving analogy. Bush has driven us off a cliff and we're plummeting toward the valley floor. He turns to the Democrats in the back seat, tied up and gagged and says, "I successfully drove us over the cliff; now what's your plan to save us? You don't have a plan, do you?" And all the media chuckleheads are nodding their heads and saying that the Democrats don't have a plan.

Iraq is lost, it is so badly toasted, dead, finished that the only thing to do get our troops out instead of leting more die in vain or vanity of not accepting that reality.

but I don't think there is any way that anyone can win in Iraq. It is to late.

27. I sent an email to Lou
Sent him this. Hope he reads it on air (lol).

"Do the Democrats have a plan to win Iraq"? What kind of an asinine RW talking-points kind of question is that?

Why not ask if GW has such a plan? Because whatever plan he has now (besides "stay the course", or isn't that the plan anymore?) doesn't really seem to be working to well right now, in case you haven't noticed. How do you define "win" anyway? When all the insurgents are dead? When all the oil has been stolen?

I am very disappointed by the shallow and meaningless nature of this poll question. It seems like something lifted straight out of a Bush campaign speach.
