HOW THEY STOLE THE MID-TERM ELECTION

Here’s how the 2006 mid-term election was stolen.

Note the past tense. And I’m not kidding.

And shoot me for saying this, but it won’t be stolen by jerking with the touch-screen machines (though they’ll do their nasty part). While progressives panic over the viral spread of suspect computer black boxes, the Karl Rove-bots have been tunneling into the vote vaults through entirely different means.

For six years now, our investigations team, at first on assignment for BBC TV and the Guardian, has been digging into the nitty-gritty of the gaming of US elections. We’ve found that November 7, 2006 is a day that will live in infamy. Four and a half million votes have been shoplifted. Here’s how they’ll do it, in three easy steps:

Steal Back Your Vote
Published by Greg Palast November 6th, 2006 in Articles
by Greg Palast

A lot of advice we’re getting from our progressive friends is to take photos of your ballot and silly stuff like that. Well, that’s all about how to complain after they steal it. I have a better idea: Win, don’t whine.

The regime’s sneak attack via vote suppression will only net them about 4.5 million votes. You should be able to beat that blindfolded. As that will cost about 5% of the vote. That means you can’t win with 51% of the vote anymore. So just get over it. If you can’t get the 55% you need for regime change, then you’re just a bunch of crybaby pussycats who don’t deserve to take charge.

17. I know I'm safe, but I fear for others.
I don't have to deal with caging, long lines or computer votes. I wish all districts were like mine.

:hi:

6. Funny how at the end he says exactly what I've been saying
for months now. We can win, and win big, if we can beat them 55 to 45. It's out of the range of vote stealing and vote suppression.

Fortunately, I think the polls are wrong, and we have that exact edge. Things are not really "tightening up" as the MSM would have you believe.

The final numbers will show a narrow Democratic victory, and 20 to 25 seats in the house flip. The Senate... I make no predictions, I only hope. The true numbers (of people who TRIED to vote) would be overwhelmingly democratic, 40+ seats in the house, and 52-48 in the Senate.

8. Well... This is no longer true.
"The federal HAVA law and complex new ID requirements in states like New Mexico will easily allow the GOP squads to triple the number of voters turned away."

Not in NM, anyway.

This should be common knowledge.

14. I love Palast, but I'm not into slitting my wrists tonight.
Tomorrow I'll GOTV for my main man, "Griff" (William I. Griffin, a retired PhD Michelin engineer and US Army veteran), in the ultra-red SC-4 (against the beta-minus moran, Bob Ingliss). If Wednesday morning dawns dark, we will deal with it then.

16. Well, I believe this - it (almost) happened to me this year in Oregon...
Edited on Mon Nov-06-06 07:28 PM by file83
...I was concerned when last week I hadn't received my "Vote by Mail" ballot. You see, in Oregon, it's 100% vote by mail.

Anyway, I knew I was registered because I registered at the Department of Motor Vehicles this summer when I got my Oregon driver's license (moved from Arizona). Filled out and signed the form in like 60 seconds. Gave it back to the DMV guy.

But the County Clerk just told me today that I'm not registered!! I was totally pissed. But thank GOD (computers) that they still had me listed in the database as an "inactive" voter from when I lived in Oregon 7 years ago. I was able to go get a ballot today - all official - and I filled it out and dropped it off at their dropbox. :woohoo:

I believe they were hoping I wouldn't have gone through all the bother or forget to vote because I hadn't received the ballot. I'm sure there are thousands and thousands of Democrats that just "don't bother" to fix the issue or are listed from previous registrations.

Oh, and by the way - I voted for Democrats straight across the ticket.

21. this is what they have been saying
On AAR , and for months now , get out and vote and make them steal it .

we know they will fix the machines and void out registrations and toss out ballots .

Palast has been saying this for some time . Malloy had Brad Freedman on the friday show and they went through this , Brad said it is going to be a mess and he has been working on this for over two years .

It seems winning all boils down to as many voting as possible and then some .

I don;t want to wake up to bad news again , I don't think I could handle that .

I just don;t trust elections at all anymore and it's a damn shame we have to fight just to place a simple vote .

22. Negative predictions are negative programming.
They require imagination and fear, both of which are powerful.

Screw that noise.

Be aware and program your ass off -- visualize and desire what you want WITH INTENSITY.

23. yeah, great. that's what I was sure of in 2004. overwhelming win
overwhelming majority. shit, wish I could forget about that. lets hope and do everything we can. but forgive me for being skeptical at this point.

glad i have a couple of Greg's books, but don't think this is helpful to get the vote out. it would discourage many.
