This is the most mind-numbing stupidest piece I've ever seen written in the NYT and of course it's Adam Nagourney.

WASHINGTON, Nov. 6 — In most midterm elections, an out-of-power party picking up, say, 14 seats in the House and five seats in the Senate could call it a pretty good night.

But for Democrats in 2006, that showing would mean coming up one seat shy of taking control of both the Senate and the House. And it would probably be branded a loss — in the case of the House, a big one.

Before that the Democrats had control of congress for over 40 years

It obviously didn't take people very long to realize the fraud that has been perpetrated on them by this administration and the republican congress

They had an opportunity to unite the country and the world after 9/11, instead they spit in everyones face

This is just the beginning of their fall from power

8. He's right

In some ways, I would love to make sure the entire Iraq mess is blamed squarely on the Repukes. But far more than that, I want to see investigations of these thugs, and we need the house to do that. Anything less, to me, is a failure.
