As Senate president, Is Cheney required to attend Senate votes?
I sure hope so. Serves Oil Can Cheney right to have to sit there like a lump, stewing in the knowledge that he now has no more power in the Senate than the cleaning lady (no offense to cleaning ladies). All he can do now is just swing a gavel and recite lines.
Cheney still has the authority and ability to cast tie-breaking votes on any matter. If the Dem's don't keep all of their people together (and remember, the Rep's didn't always do it either), he may still have an opportunity to "weigh" in on issues.
