But not with these sociopaths. In fact, everytime I see them I enjoy feeling their pain.

Now we have to work on undoing all the crap they've done, and you can be sure they're poised to try to steal it back from us any way they can, whenever they see an opening. Plus, they've pocketed so much money, it's frightening.

Hooray for this win, but we really have to keep our guard up now more than ever, and get to work!

I start to feel sorry for the REAL Republicans out there--they have nothing to do with the self-aggrandizing political/religious fascists who have hijacked and raped their party. But then I ask myself, "If they're not smart enough to LEAVE the party, why SHOULD I feel sorry for them?"

52. That's a good question, one I ask all the time
as an ex- Republican. Why don't they leave? I know some stay out of loyalty, and others stay in the delusion that they can draw the party back from its extremes, and still others stay because they did not think there was a place for them among Democrats, nor were they willing to go indie or third party. I think all of those reasons are at best self-delusory.

59. Hardly. You can be sure that
George Allen, for example, has already heard from several firms working for law firms. His last day in the Senate is something like January 3; the following day, he'll be a partner at McGuireWoods or Hunton & Williams. He'll be making a half-mil easily, three times what he was pulling down (you'll notice I did not say "earning") as a senator.

Don't feel that you need to shed any tears for him.

coming economic meltdown brought on by the the R's it is not the time to feel sorry for the other side they brought this on all of you and will now blame any economic meltdown on you as if you had control over decisions made years ago. So no I don't feel sorry for Bush and the Republicans. They are IMHO lucky to now have you to blame for the coming economic crisis.

71. Nope, not even for "real" Repugs or Chaffee
They supported the Repugs knowing how destructive & corrupt their Party is. The Republican Party has always been hypocritical, saying one thing but meaning another. "Smaller government/less gov interference" means no checks on corporations or environmental issues. Less taxes only for the rich & corporations. Pro-life only if you haven't been born or you're too rich to die. Trickle-down economics -- they touted that with a straight face! Screw all of them.
