Iraq has always been in a civil war-we just took out the enforcer

Sunni and Shiites have been at eachother's throats since the Zoroastarians of Persia converted to Islam and became what we now know as the Shiites.
When Saddam controlled Iraq he had a "nobody throws bricks in this neighborhood but me" policy which kept the two groups in fear of the dictator and thus no all out war between the two groups.
Saddam is removed from power the two groups are free of fear of him and are now free to attack eachother.
How fucking hard is this to comprehend? why isn't this little history lesson being played out over the liberal media? worse WHY THE HELL are are the talking heads and everyone else in this country saying stupid ass things like "oh I think a civil war is brewing" or "huh huh we're almost there yep"
Morans. The Civil War was already there. We just removed the wedge that kept the two groups from all out war against eachother.
Period.
PS This is NOT an endorsement of Saddam's policies. My overall point is that due to our actions, the nation of Iraq went from really bad to as bad as it could possibly get.
2. If you and I, two ordinary citizens, understand this, why don't
our glorious leaders understand it? I will answer my own question, because they are ignorant. They have never studied the history of this part of the world.
