9. Guess that poll showing 2% of blacks...
... trusted him after Katrina/NO kind of got under Rove's skin.

Of course, Bush never says anything that's politically motivated....

11. Have not heard anything buth blather from the idiot since.
Just saying it was nice to have those words out of front.

On Shehann. that was before the news that it may have been a t-shirt.

If she unfurled a banner she should have bee arrested. It simply that the rules of the House do not permit it. SHe clearly wanted to be arrrested.

The fact that whatever she did to provoke the arrest that was her intent to do it whaen she did it. If she had done so during the speech it might have been a great TV moment...but she would have been excoriated for interuppting the President.

It would have quickly become an issue about her appropriatness rather than her issue. It would have been about her rather than the issue she championed...I think she did it correctly

On the other hand if it was just a TShirt. It would depend in part on what it said...but it is inappropriate dress fro the occasion.

Time will tell.

13. I'm sorry if my statement offended
I don't mean to throw accusations at you.

I also understand that a t-shirt is not typically appropriate attire for a formal event. However, this whole state of the union is inappropriate, the country is severely broken, and we have a dictator speaking to us live right this minute.

In this case, the shirt was more than appropriate. Decorum can go to hell when the rest of the nation is going to hell.

10. Funny. There don't seem to be
any....not one....black Republican member of Congress.
So much for Bush's little tribute. Doesn't really mean much, does it. His party...in the year 2006....doesn't have ONE black member in Congress.
