ISG: Is there a single member who opposed IWR?
Near as I can tell ... the answer is "no". ( That's quite a roster by the way; shheeeezzz.)

And , if "no", wouldn't any report they produce be... to put it mildly... "suspect".

Circular reasoning, and all.

Shouldn't people with demonstrated *good* judgment be making recommendations for a future course of action? You know, as opposed to people with demonstrated *poor* judgment ?

And if I'm right about all this... why is this report being taken so *seriously*... even by people who you'd think would know better?

1. Senator Russ Feingold (D-WI) had a similar reaction.

4. Hmm... "flawed mind-set": that's the sort of terminology.....
>>>Unfortunately, the Iraq Study Group report does too little to change the flawed mind-set that led to the misguided war in Iraq. >>>>

... I was looking for.

Couldn't get my pc to run the Feingold clip but found a partial transcript ( above) with a series of clicks.

And rarely has there been a 'set' of 'minds' so 'flawed' that was charged with such a crucial undertaking.

5. Well, from that POV, it makes a degree of sense. But...
... it seems to have lowered the level of public discourse on the topic to: which is the best of these two dismal alternatives:

1. Stay the Course
2. Modified Stay the Course

Perhaps the DEM caucus in either house can come up with a *legit* study... conducted by grown-ups --- not dinosaurs--- ... followed forthwith ( I hope), by a plan of action.

3. Bingo. Time for people who knew this was madness to take charge.
Until that happens, the asylum is still run by the lunatics.
