Your Christmas packages were received in Baghdad!!!
Special thanks to everybody that did this special thing.

Your packages went to FOB Falcon and were distributed to the kids in 18th assigned there and to the 14th Cavalry to which they are attached.

Troy said there were alot of packages - so I don't really know who to thank - Nadin, I know to thank you. I was lucky to talk to him this Christmas - and I could not get exact details. We were emailed by their captain that they would probably not be able to call home a couple days before Christmas cause the kids were so busy doing missions- Troy managed to though for a little while.

But you know who you are - thank you for those kids - from the bottom of my heart.

And MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Glad to hear that Troy was able to call! How did he sound? When is his tour up?

Did he get to see any of the USO shows? How is moral? Is there anything else we can do?

3. Merry Christmas to you TInk -

He comes up to rotate this summer - and I have never heard him so grim - ever.

He is truly an American soldier now- very, very practical.

Used to be - "shoot me, I come home in a bag or on a ship".

It has gone downhill since then.

I will do as you ask - he can't call home very often, but I will do the best I can.

Keep us apprised of any time they need anything we can provide. I wasn't in a position to do much this Christmas season, but will do what I can in the future.

It is a matter of intent - it really is. We all try and do what we can - that is what is important.

I reposted this cause I know a lot of packages showed up at Falcon, and it was because of my postings here and the response thereto. And I don't really know who to thank for the kids - and I am trying my best to thank everyone. It meant a lot to some of those kids - and I love those kids.
