Meet The Press - Sunday, January 14th - all Repugs save for one
Potato Head must have gotten his marching orders. All repugs (and repug wannabes) except for Chris Dodd. Hadley, Lieberman, Kyl and Hagel. What ya wanna bet that Hagel will be back on point by Sunday morning? He'll be all for the escalation.

STEPHEN HADLEY
National Security Adviser

SEN. CHRIS DODD (D-CT)
2008 Presidential Contender and Foreign Relations Committee Member

SEN. JOE LIEBERMAN (D/I-CT)
Chairman of the Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee

SEN. JON KYL (R-AZ)
Chairman, Senate Republican Conference

SEN. CHUCK HAGEL (R-NE)
Foreign Relations Committee Member

1. But as Russert said this AM on TODAY, "Two for and two against
Bush's Iraq surge"--Dodd and Republican Hagel are against.

2. You're wrong on Hagel. He has been talking against policies for years.
He has generally been more critical than Dodd and Biden on that. He will not change his tone. The problem with him is that his votes do not follow what he says, but I would not expect him to support the surge.

5. I hope you are right but repubs have the habit of stomping their
feet, huffing and puffing (Specter is a classic example) and railing against something only to fall back in line when the rubber hits the road - and the votes are counted. The repugs will be in serious ass covering mode on Sunday morning and I'm betting they will all be singing from the same page.

3. That seems to be the current model.
Wouldn't you love to see for once, Chomsky, Marc Cooper, Molly Ivins, Zinn, people like that?

4. Lieberman Loving All This Attention
he makes me want to puke now. Can't believe I was all excited in 2000 about having him as our VP.

8. A LIEberman vs. Hagel tangle might make it worth watching...
Hadley has his PNAC yakking points, Dodd will be against LIEberman but not too angry, Kyl will play the role of Bush shill...it's Hagel that might rip LIEberman a new one....
