Enough Already !!
Edited on Sun Jan-14-07 04:33 PM by kentuck
We don't have to wait until there is a disaster to know what we already know. We have a dangerous and unstable person in the White House. He has no regard or respect for the people or the people's representatives. That alone should scare the hell out of everyone.

We cannot expect the military to advise him of what is best for the country. They take orders. That is what they are trained to do. If the Commander in Chief says to drop the "big one", they will drop the "big one".

It is up to the Congress and Senate of the United States to put the hammer down. Both Democrats and Republicans have to put politics aside at this time and do what is in the interest of our country. They cannot, they must not, sit idly by as the executive in the White House prepares to take us to a war that the people and the Congress insist should not happen.

We are not a dictatorship or a monarchy. We are a democratic republic. If the democracy says they do not want war, no one person has the authority to declare war on his own. The leaders of both Parties need to put politics aside at this time in our history and march over to the White House and sit down with the person that would lead us into disaster and further war. They need to advise him in no uncertain terms that he does not have the authority and if he so much as hints that he intends to do such a deed, he will find himself removed from office. Period.

1. And if Congress can't, the people MUST!
sigh...

Wish it were so.

The Founders are definitely grieving what we've come to.

2. The Congress MUST act..
now. They, Democrats and Republicans, need to meet with Mr Bush. I fear something very dreadful is going to happen and they are going to be sitting on their hands playing politics as our nation is taken to war against our will. He does not have the authority.

3. The Time Is Now - Tomorrow Will Be Too Late
But there would be no point in Congress meeting with Bush unless they were bringing a straight-jacket with them. Congress must unite and move quickly to put an end to this administration.
