Skull suggests human-Neanderthal link
WASHINGTON - A skull found in a cave in Romania includes features of both modern humans and Neanderthals, possibly suggesting that the two may have interbred thousands of years ago.

They are the Marlon Brandos of the mammal kingdom. "They coulda been a contender, they coulda been SOMEBODY"

Instead, they take a second seat to us, homo sapiens.

Where they lost it is the big mystery.

25. If you truly hold these beliefs, then you should be capable of backing them up.
"Whatever" isn't a strong reason. It's a shrug off.

There is no reason to be upset. I think it is a fair and reasonable thing to wonder why you completely reject the notiog of evolution.

Personally, I don't find any problem being a person of spiritual faith and a person who understands evolution.

And, if you don't want people questioning, then why respond in this thread? Clearly, you will be inviting questions.

Edited for spelling error.

27. So you're not going to tell us if you're a young earth creationist?
You claimed humans were always human. I'd like to know if you think humans have been around for 4.6 billion years (the age of the Earth according to geologists) or 6000 years (the age of the Earth according to some theologians) or some other amount of time. "Whatever" is a pretty lame response to an honest attempt at discussion.

8. Uh, no. We're great apes. We used to be smaller.
We also crawled out of primordial ooze and became mammals. It's been a long, exhausting journey and most of the time we were not human.

But it's good to hear from a creationist on DU. Big big big tent and all.

That pretty much sealed the deal for me.

24. True.
It is fascinating to study the evolution of the human brain. A couple of good sources are Carl Sagan's "The Dragons of Eden," and "The Search for Early Man" (National Geographic; 11-85).

This photo is of my collection of artifacts from Bed 1 of Olduvai Gorge. The approximate ages of the tools, etc are 1.75 to 1.88 million years.
