3. volstork, can you put the correct link in your OP? This blog entry demands wide viewing and
distribution...Great pairing of visual and spoken words.

But, if busy folks perusing the OP's don't get a good link, they may abandon this sharply observant article. MKJ

5. This expression better matches a statement like, "I once swallowed a coin then pooped it out."

14. "There's not enough troops on the ground right now to provide security for Iraq ..."
... and that's why I made the decision I made."

You posted the pic for that quote. You know, I've seen that look before. A little boy who was told, "Don't go outside now, we're about to leave for church, you're going to get your clothes dirty."

"Ooops, mommy, I got dirty." Followed by sheepish grin and the head cocked to the side, like, "Ain't I just the cutest thing you ever saw?"

bush is still playing the frat boy. Hey, bush, charm doesn't raise the dead or heal the maimed, you insufferable prick.

7. Those shots make him look like Tommy Smothers
(In character, not the *real* Tommy Smothers.)

8. Yeah, I was going to disagree until you made the distinction
I had the honor of meeting Tommy Smothers at a restaurant when I was about 11. He was such a gentleman and so nice. Not at all like the shrub.

15. I adore Tommy Smothers,
and wish the show was back on the air. We could use it now--the same stuff that needs commenting on. I wasn't very old at the time, but I think I remember seeing Pete Seeger singing "Waist Deep in the Big Muddy" on the show.

I still say that he looks and sounds quite a bit like Bush when in character--annoying and proud to be stupid. ;)

16. I was also very young when that show was on
and had forgotten that he played the stupid brother. I always remember the man I met in the restaurant. But now that I think about it, I agree, he did do a good imitation of the Chimp.

9. I posted a comment, earlier, today, about his creepy grin.
I see I'm not the only one bothered by it.
