5. At the risk of appearing biased ...

... I'd like to alert folks to what they may be overlooking in "Not A Care in the World."

NO! I am deliberately ignorant of WHO took that photograph. I ignore it and diligently dissociate the DUer from the photo.

Consider ... head in the clouds ... on the cusp between girl and woman ... all the "motion" both figurative and explicit.

For me, it's always a question of what the PHOTOGRAPHER made manifest in the photo. How much is composition, balance, saturation, shutter setting, etc.? It's one thing to have an appealing subject and quite another to capture and represent that subject to convey a sense and perspective.

"Not A Care in the World" deserves far more consideration than it's gotten, imho.

7. Thanks. I had to actually stop and look myself. It looks deceptively "EASY".

... but that's anything but an "easy" shot, imho. There's something that's HUGELY evocative in it, for me ... the "Last Hurrah" comes to mind, in a sense. That young lady's entire posture and demeanor screams "keeping the inner child alive." To capture that and portray the "head in the clouds" while bare-footed and grounded ... well, it really does speak to me. (And I'm not even a woman!)

It's not just "motion" ... it's "emotion."

I also really think "Frozen in Motion" is incredibly interesting because of its unusual take on the subject.

I too have no idea who took what piece - I prefer to remain completely ignorant of that if I can.
