9. I meant Lieberman
But yeah, Imus is a shriveled-up one, too. He got his start in Cleveland when I was growing up, and he was an ass then, too.

30. That was not his start
NBC sent him down to Cleveland from NYC after he missed one too many airshifts while being drunk and/or coked up.

Douchebag.

5. There's all this talk about Dodd betraying lieberman
but how about Lieberman's betrayal of Dodd and others who campaigned for him, by having the integrity to live by the results of the primary?

27. Seriously there was a news item a couple of days ago that
at the opening of the second paragraph was "Lieberman (I - Conn)" I thought yes he can con, apparently. Thought the tag was funny enough to repeat. Lieberman the conman.

right around the time of the Dem convention (either that or he'll be at the GOP convention)for maximum exposure.

Reminds me of the Bishop of Bray:

I'll still the Bishop of Bray, sir!"

Lieberman will go with the winning team. THAT'S what makes him "independent".

25. unfortunately, this thorn in our sides is the only thing keeping the Senate Dem
I worry that he'll get so peeved about the criticism that he'll switch parties.

Hard to imagine that a guy who ran (and won) as a Democratic VP nominee, and ran for the Democratic presidential nomination, could do that, but McCain has seemed to embrace those who smeared him, now that it suits his agenda to do so, so why not Joe?

I really do worry that all the "he's a Republican in sheep's clothing" will build up to the point where he'll figure he has nothing to lose by taking off that sheep's clothing. And then we will be partially screwn--at least we'll still have the House, but having both is so sweet.

32. I am so glad that he was forced to become an independent
I just wish we could convince the pundit class to call him an independent. Lamont may have lost the election, but he forced Joe out from behind the closet door. It's too damn bad that we need the bastard to hold the Senate.

If he joins the repubs in a filibuster to block the anti-surge resolution, we should have DU monitoring the pundits to correct them if they call Joe a Democrat. We need to pound the bastards if they dare associate Joe with the Democratic party.

Everyone knows damn well that there is not a Republican out there who could lead us out of the devastation this country is experiencing right now. Lieberman is a sniveling liar.

REGARDLESS of party? Give me a break, Joe.

20. One Seat
There are 21 Republican Senate seats open in the 2008 Election. All we need to do is win one of them and then we can tell Holy Joe to go fuck himself and switch parties.

Is that motivation enough for us to work our butts off in 2008?

At least there I understand that there may have well been a mental issue (I heard a lot of people close to Zell were saying he hadn't been right in the head for a while...)
Liebermann has no excuse except for the fact that he is a moron and a snake who says anything he thinks will get him farther..hissssss

23. well, so does everyone else
All of us support whomever we think will be the best President.

But anyone who's been paying attention for the last thirty years will have a hard time being convinced that anyone who's in league with the Republicans could possibly be the best choice.

Lieberman will support whoever will do the most for Lieberman,
regardless of party...or custom, tradition, rules, laws, the Constitution,
or the generally-recognized bounds of human decency.

31. As a genuine statement, I couldn't help but agree with him. However, I don't
Edited on Fri Jan-19-07 09:34 PM by MJDuncan1982
believe that he is being genuine in stating that sentiment.

He's playing Mr. Middle.

And as a side note: I think he should use have used "whoever". According to GrammarBook.com:

1) Him + He = Whoever
2) Him + Him = Whomever

"I'll support ____ will be the best President." = 1) "I'll support him." AND 2) "He will be the best President."

Therefore, "whoever" is the correct choice.

Anal a bit???

associates with.

This guy is nothing but a self-interested creep.

I'm going to be really unfair and juvenile here for a moment and say that the fucker even looks like a creep. Ever since he tried to give Cheney a blowjob during their debate in 2000 I've had nothing but disgust for him.

...because I was so sure he intended on throwing his complete support to the Republican candidate. At least he's stating that the Democrats have a SLIGHT chance of his support in 2008. Good on you, Joe!

:sarcasm:
