I need a link whether Bush* avoided capturing

Osama Bin LAden in order to keep up the pretense of present danger of terrorism so he could invade Iraq. I realize it is a theory, and I have searched the Research forum and done some DU searches, but I haven't found specifics on this. Can anyone help?

1. Well, there is the common sense of known facts -

Osama was on the run, cornered in Tora Bora, and instead of putting MORE troops in to seal the deal, we were pulling them out to set up the invasion of Iraq.

If we'd put 60,000 in Afghanistan to start with, this would all be over now.

4. Was letting him go part of the jsutification for invading Iraq, not

directly, but to play into people's fears about terrorism still being out there?

5. I don't know if he's been blamed directly, but it does make you wonder

what the motivation was for letting OBL go. The irony is that, even though this admin DID let OBL go, who'd have thunk they'd invade Iraq instead of trying to redouble efforts in Afghanistan? :crazy:
