Havana, Feb 11 (Prensa Latina) Over 1,500 delegates to the 8th International Meeting of Economists on Globalization and Development repudiated the war on Iraq.
A resolution issued at the closing session condemns the efforts by the George W. Bush Administration to sacrifice social investments to increase military spending.
The economists also voiced concern with the threats on security and life on Earth by the US bold, irresponsible, warmongering diplomacy.
The participants joined the world outcry for the immediate withdrawal of US troops from Iraq and the end of crimes and human right violations disguised with a war on terror.
The meeting called the world to mobilize in defense of humanity to stop a war that threatens the survival of mankind and the Earth.
The Resolution explains that almost three years past the invasion, humanity is moved with the disastrous aftermath of such criminal, illegal and immoral war justified with lies denied by true facts.
The document adds that Bush has used the war on terrorism and weapons of mass destruction, among other excuses, to escalate his war mongering and systematic aggressions on governments and peoples.
The economists warn that such prospects become perfect framework for a new war that includes using N-weaponry against Iran, threatening the Middle East with a Holocaust.
