to a convicted murderer in Mississippi challenging his life sentence based on the punishment for a doctor who performs abortion in the state which is "up to one year" in prison. "Conservatives" who oppose abortion equate the procedure to murder and yet you can commit murder in Mississippi with little punishment attached compared to other "murderers." Wedge away zealots.

Many results from many polls. No matter how the question is asked, these polls show that the majority of American favor keeping abortion legal. The fundies are getting most of the attention right now because they are making the most noise about this. I don't know how this would affect a Supreme Court decision on Roe v. Wade, but overturning it would not sit well with the majority of Americans.
