True or False Air America in NYC
Some freeper monkey on another board posted a NYpost article about Air America losing its NYC affiliate WLIB.

Is this true or bullshit?

3. WLIB is Air America's flagship station. So I doubt it.

4. The info I got from my post about this.....
There is a rumor that the lease from channel WLIB (AM 1190)is due to expire and PERHAPS will not be renewed. It is also rumored that this is a joint agreement because of some conflicts with community based programming that was displaced by AAR. It is also rumored that AAR has/can get another station to broadcast in the NYC area. Their numbers have been said to be improving in this area.

As you can see, lots of rumors and damn few facts.

7. This Could Also Be Contractual Gamesmanship
Right before a contract expires, two sides hurl charges in order to get a better deal. It could be nothing or it could be significant. We don't know. I'm sure that this happens all of the time in the radio business.

Don't worry about AAR. They will survive in some kind of format.
