You know, republicans HATE Hillary. It would be a waste not to use her
to aggravate them. They've been screaming and moaning for days about Hillary's stances and statements on issues that we should all agree with her on.

A RNC ad targeted her for this statement yesterday: http://releases.usnewswire.com/GetRelease.asp?id=62161

"Because when you look at the way the House of Representatives has been run, it has been run like a plantation and you know what I'm talking about."

We know what she's talking about, don't we? What a perfect opportunity to use her as a hammer against the republican party. She can get under their skin like no other in our party, save Kerry.

The chimp handlers are so cocksure that, by just associating Hillary with issues, they can turn their manure into political gold. But Americans agree with Hillary on most of her stances, as do most Democrats. There are some issues, for sure, that are poison for some party faithful, but, on the whole, like John Kerry, Hillary is a mainstream Democrat promoting and defending mainstream Democratic values.

I hope we don't get too deep in the business of tearing at our potential candidates along with the republicans. There's too much time left in Bush's term for mischief and we need all the hands we can get. I like the way Hillary sets republicans off, much like Bush makes my skin crawl. That can't be such a bad thing, notwithstanding all of the venom toward her coming from some on our side.

1. No venom.
I just think if anyone actually believes she could win in '08 they're nuts.

3. I haven't seen anyone suggest we eliminate her from the Senate
However, to suggest she's a viable presidential candidate in the 08 race is ludicrous.

5. Republicans sure are using her!
All their focus on her brings in the big bucks from republicans everywhere, and they're counting on hammering her to bring out the Pub voters.

7. Funny though, Bush is generating just as much money for Hillary
and Kerry. Their coffers are full. Why should we shy away from a candidate because they raise the hackles of the opposition?

Btw, they will hammer anyone who steps up to challenge them.

10. Where did I say we should shy away from a candidate?
She's not my choice for a number of reasons, but my post was commenting on why Rethuglicans keep talking about her.

11. you didn't say it
sorry I implied that.

I think their focus on her elevates Hillary at a time when Bush/Cheney are her only visible opponents, and with so much time left in their term. Also, nationalizing party politics this close to the midterms could backfire on the republicans.

8. I'm glad to have her as one of our voices.
It's the assumption that she's somehow entitled to the 2008 nomination, particularly after her pandering on Iraq and "terra", that I object to.

9. She does bring out the worst in them. The thought of her brings
out their hatred for women in general.
