he was putting up "abramoff donations" and listing durbin, clinton & other dems along with the republican criminals who got money directly from abramoff. the crawl didn't clarify that the dems did not get money directly from jack--it implied they did get money directly from him. he was putting the dems in the dirty bed with the repukes!

abramoff never donated to democrats. they were "associates" of his, or indian tribes that donated to the democrats--not abramoff as your crawl stated!

why don't you look abramoff up on opensecrets.org and take a read through all the republicans he gave money to. you won't find one democrat on the list!

and why don't you come clean to your audience about that capitol athletic foundation that you helped jack raise money for in march of 2003--the organization where less than one percent went to sports related programs for youths.

22. I looked on opensecrets

and most democrats and republican's contributions look about the same. All Democrats that I saw only had contributions form indian tribes. Most republicans had all contributions from indian tribes except for one under $2000 contribution directly from Abramoff. That's not illegal in itself. A few repubs are swimming in this, most notably Delay. It's hard to explain to people why dems and (most)repubs are so different on this.

But some of the tribes he represented did contribute to dems. So, Abramoff persoanl giving = repukes only. His clients contributed to both dems & pukes, but I think favored pukes by 66%. Not positive about the percentages, but am positive Abramoffs personal giving was exclusively to repukes.

The crawl on your show last night was misleading, to put it mildly.

Of course YOU KNOW that the vast majority of Abramoff's bribe money went to Republicans and that most of them knew precisely what they were getting and what they were expected to provide in return.

The VERY FEW Democrats who received paltry amounts, received it indirectly and did not agree to any action in return for those funds. Your crawl implied just the opposite.

I suppose you assume your viewers have two digit IQ's and don't do their own independent research. Hey, just a few computer clicks will take even a child to multiple sources that will give them information that corrects your skewed crawl. But, do you REALLY want to be seen as buffoon apologist for a pack of criminals?
