I guess Laura lies like the rest of them...or maybe exaggerates

i am going burst the Freepers bubble a little on the WH decor thingee.

First off, thanks to Hillary Clinton the WH endowment grew to 30 million under her watch and she is credited with that gain as she worked very hard to build it. So she left Laura much better or than Laura's mother-in-law left her.

But read this for yourselves. So much more could be said here but i don't want to bother anyone with the facts.

"The Clintons discovered there was plenty to do in the house that more than 1 million people visit each year and that is just celebrating its 200th anniversary. Through private funding and the support of the White House Historical Association and the White House Endowment Fund (which grew to $30 million during the Clinton years), many problems that had long needed attention were finally addressed.

The Clinton restoration has been called one of the most extensive renovations in recent White House history, with major work done in the Blue Room, State Dining Room and Red Room as well as in the Treaty Room and Lincoln Sitting Room. It included rehanging Whistlers and Fragonards, de-gilding eagles in the State Dining Room and peeling layers of paint off the wood walls of the presidential elevator."

criticizing another First Lady? Evidently, Laura didn't like the reds, blues and golds chosen by the Clintons.

--“The president wanted a strong patriotic statement — red, blue and gold,”
--“strong gold damask” happened to be a pattern once used by George Washington.

Imagine that!

10. RW Conservatives are well noted for "bulk buying" of co-harts books.
They usually buy in bulk and then give them away. Ann Coulter's books are a prime example. Bill Bennett too.
