"Circus performers, Wolves & Flakes"

That's how CNN described the crowd in France.. It's being "dispersed" by cops now, and of course CNN could NOT resist the temptation to portray the protesters in derogatory terms..:puke:

The crowd was not rowdy or destructive..and were students, parents, union members and just ordinary people./

3. Fascinating, isn't it?
"Troublemakers and rabblerousers" are some of the terms they're using on MSNBC.

The fact that we present valid protest in this fashion does not bode well for any attempts to protest in this country. I suppose we're all just supposed to move peacefully and silently down the streets, well-dressed and singing in harmony, so that the MSM can report and ignore, report and ignore -- and they act surprised that NO CHANGE is effected.

I'm not a fan of violence, but this belief that ANY protest is wrong is enough to make me cheer the rock throwers. I have a certain sympathy for the French young folks, anyway -- just because we are owned body and soul by the corporations doesn't mean that everyone should willing accept the chains.

5. You know, I think they do get it --
they just don't like it.

This is really an interesting situation. The protests and French government policy are one issue -- one that needs to be resolved there, not here. The MSMs' presentations of those protests is another issue entirely; it speaks volumes about how much we are controlled by big business and the corrupted ethics of free-market capitalism.

6. They are trying to show us that WE are not the only ones
who meet up with police at protests..

This protest has gotten MORE coverage than the ones here at home too :pout:

7. Talk about beaten wife syndrome...
You would think that as bad as the media gets treated by republicans/conservatives, coupled with the fact that the truth is almost totally on our side, that the media would be with us.

Instead they always go for the group that beats em up so badly - no matter how much the media cowtows to em.

What a bunch of ball-less suckers.

9. France just passed a law
Where anyone under 26 can be fired from their job without cause. What kind of incentive is this for the young to bust their butts and do a good job, when even if they do they can be canned ?

It is no wonder they have a large unemployment rate.
