Have you seen this site? It's a hoot. An online petition drive to get David Gregory fired for being a big ol' meanie to our beloved "president."

I visited the site after it was brought to my attention by fellow DUers. I sent the site's "webmaster," Ian, a quick note, as follows:

It is always so refreshing to hear from ignorant children who have the time to sit at their expensive computers and try to rip on others brave enough to defend our constitution. Like we don't get enough of that nonsense from Fox News.

I'm old enough to have lived through the Richard Nixon administration, and the crimes and cover-ups of this group in Washington pale by comparison, and will go down as among American history's signature events leading to the outright collapse of our democracy. Unless people like Mr. Gregory continue to hold our elected officials' feet to the fire.

Turn off the right-wing hate broadcasts, and get your sorry ass to the nearest Army recruitment office. Some other American is dying right now so you can sit home and bitch at a television reporter for questioning the man who sent him there for a LIE. You should be ashamed.

That was on March 31. Today Ian responded to my e-mail. When I say it was hysterical, I don't mean in the ranting, lunatic sense so often associated with right-wing Bushistas. I mean hysterical as in "really funny." Check it out...

"Why don't you focus on getting a real job."

That's it. That was Mr. Activist's entire response. LOL!

the moran shoudl worry more about his pResident containing his emotions - he is much more representative of the Nation than some reporter that most of us know very little about. Wow, talk about picking your battles.

These two episodes illustrate serious breaches in journalistic integrity. Mr. Gregory has done damage to NBC News' reputation and the reputation of journalism as a whole. Journalists should report the story, not become a part of it. Mr. Gregory, who was unable to control his emotions at a White House press conference and behaved inappropriately on a nationally syndicated radio program, is unfit to work for NBC News.
