The Great American Boycott of 2006
The Great American Boycott of 2006 will take place on May 1st, 2006. There is a possiblity that it will continue until the 5th of May, 2006 (Cinco de Mayo).

Dozens of political organizations and unions nationwide will paricipate. For example, the L.A. port truckers will be honoring the boycott effectively shutting down the Port of Los Angeles, CA.

1. Hot dang, count me in
especially if the focus is OFF immigration and OFF Hispanics and put onto the CHEAP LABOR CONSERVATIVES, which is where it belongs.

Illegal aliens are not my enemies. They're my brothers and sisters in exploitation.

3. It's becoming a progressive thing
It's becoming a progressive thing since they have ben the ones in solidarity with us since the beginning.

when I say "us" I mean pro-migrant activists.

4. Solidarity with Migrants
This is a follow through of "La Gran Marcha." Only this time it will be more organized and an national, international event. People from Russia, Cuba, Latin America, Mexico and many other countries will be sending a message to the U.S. Congress to deal fairly with the migrant workers.

6. We should boycott what exactly? .....
I've always thought boycotts are much more effective, if not as spectacular than protest marches. Hitting them in the pocketbook gets their attention much quicker than a 30 second news account.

Boycotters send a consistent message to the boycottee that says "Fuck you, change or else"

It does so peacefully and with devastating efficiency if done correctly.

Count me in!
