I paid about $200 for my Littman. I think I'll hang on to it (at least until some wayward Doc steals it). But seriously--until the people that have insurance and jobs realize that their situation could change in the blink of an outsourced job, then the "have insurance's" will continue status quo. Until you can reach those people, it is a daunting task to be sure, to try to force change. The people that are the most receptive to a National Health Plan are those that are uninsured, underinsured, or have chronic or pre-existing conditions. When we can make everyone realize that it actually benefits their own health to make everyone healthy, it is a losing battle. I think it is lost on the average person that the insurance companies are making record profits while the consumer is paying record premiums for less coverage.
