It's Time To Pull Hate Wing Wedge Issues Out Of Your Crack
The crack between your brain lobes, the crack between your heart and your head, the crack between your mind/body split, the crack between fact and opinion, the crack between what's important and what's distracting..............................................

Maybe it's too many generations of hopped up youth who never have and never will enjoy latex free lovin......... or real free free-form radio......... and schools without metal detectors and drug dogs and Columbines and cameras.................

Somehow the culture went from Sex and Drugs and Rock n Roll to Rape and Assault and Abortion and Human Vegetables and Gay Marriage. HOW, you may ask?

Well, the slimy, repressed, sick junior high school dance reject nerds who rose to power in the 70's are now runnin the national show. They have mastered the art of (genetically engineered) bread and (CSI:Everywhere) circuses and rule by fear.

ALL of the Hate Wing wedge issues -- Abortion, Gay Marriage, Women's Rights-- are about POWER and maintaining the POWER of the STATUS QUO by keeping EVERYONE IN THEIR PLACE and in particular, IN THEIR RIGID GENDER ROLES that SUPPORT AND FEED THE SYSTEM and protect those that sit at the tippy top of the pyramid.

So, next time we feel like going off about Rape and Abortion and Rape and Abortion and Uppity Women and Human Vegetable Women and Runaway Missing Bride Blonde Women and Abortion and Gay Marriage and Rape, we might stop and think about what else is going on in the world.

2. "Human Vegetable Women "
 Sorry, that one cracked me up. I hadn't seen the thread on that and can't even imagine what it could've been about.

As far as the rest of the post, I agree to an extent, it is definitely about control and power, but I'm not certain it's to keep people in their place as much as it is to simply play to their base and rally them.

Fear is the easiest tool to do so. Distraction on social issues is a close second.

"Fear is the easiest tool to do so." (Fear of) "Distraction on social issues." (The Other)

The masses pick it up and bang themselves over the head with it. :banghead:
