I have a serious question about the Duke case and DNA
The news reports said that there was no DNA match of the team members.

Does anyone know - was no male DNA found at all, or was there male DNA found that did not match?

1. In more than 80% of rape cases there is no DNA evidence

2. In most cases, condoms were used.
Most rapists these days use them. Most everyone uses them.

3. I'm not sure
I think there was DNA but it didn't match any of the white males on the team. But they could have raped her with foreign objects. Did you read the sadistic email written by one guy on the team.
Anger toward women and/or blacks was really obvious.
I don't have a source but it is floating out there. Also the email was one reason given for the coach to quit.

test they sent off....heard that from a television I was passing by....there seems to be an awful lot of news coverage for no 'known' news?

"I see in the near future a crisis approaching that unnerves me and causes me to tremble for the safety of my country. As the result of the War, corporations have been enthroned. ... An era of corruption in high places will follow, and the money power of the country will endeavor to prolong its reign by working upon the prejudices of the people... until wealth is aggregated in a few hands... and the Republic is destroyed."

6. I think I understand your question and I have it too.
Did they recover *someone's* DNA from her, but no match to the lacrosse players?
OR--was there no DNA recovered from her at all?

I have not heard the DA say specifically that there was someone's DNA recovered from her.

I have been assuming that there was because they keep saying there was no "match" which presumes that there were testing against something they recovered from her.

7. None was found
Edited on Wed Apr-19-06 11:59 PM by chookie
None inside or outside of her body -- and her entire body was swabbed for evidence. None was found under her fingernails, nor were any fibers.

"Attorneys Wade Smith and Joe Cheshire said the tests showed no DNA from any player was found on the woman, her clothes or her belongings. The medical results showed the woman hadn't even had sex, the attorneys said."

8. Read the quote you used carefully.
You are stating no DNA was found.

That's not what the quote you used says. It says

" . . . no DNA from any player was found on the woman . . . "

9. All these "leaks" are coming from the DEFENSE, people. Who says
THEY're honest? The Grand Jury may know more than we do
