1. that's a bona fide quote?
sounds to me as if she said, of course you shouldn't rely on what is said while campaigning. goddammit there's no honesty anywhere.

3. Quote selectively edited, as usual:

Power said: "You can't make a commitment in March 2008 about what circumstances will be like in January of 2009," adding that the Obama plan was a "best-case scenario" that he "will revisit when he becomes president."

Any candidate who declares they know exactly what they will do in a year given the fluidity of what happens daily is not telling the truth.

5. Disengenious
The quote referenced twice is pure logic to anyone with more than one braincell.

None of the nominees has the intel needed to draw up a plan that is more than extremely sketchy, before they become president and become privy to all the intelligence.

It would be extremely idiotic to lay out a plan now and promise to stick to it. And sticking to it in the face of intelligence that shows it will endanger the troops needlessly would be not only idiotic but tragic.

Thats why both candidates on several occasions have put a lot of qualifiers on their stated intent to get the troops out as fast as possible.

Stuff like this is why they put an age limit on voting.

7. You are the one trying to fool people
Using this stuff as an argument is well on the side of disengenious. There is no lying to it, and anyone with some sort of understanding of the issue recognizes that. What she said in that interview was not new information.

The Clinton campaign would be forced to say the exact same thing, given the same questions.

And both campaigns have basically done so several times.

Oh, and if you could outline your reasons for calling him a media creation, I would appreciate it.

9. Because he believes he can.
But there is no disconnect between that and realising/admitting that circumstances might be different than what he sees them as, once he becomes privy to all intelligence and the direct conversation with the military personnel responsible for an execution.

And he has said as much, several times. So has Hillary.

12. That is the exact point.
The military is running this war and they want to win they will not lose it. Any President will take the advice of his acting Generals and if they say stay the course the President will most likely stay the course. Imagine if a President did not take the advise of his Generals in this country the media eats that up. Sure the President can fire the General but it is so obvious the media will have a field day.

10. Whats all this foolishness...
Neither Obama nor Hillary will bring the troops home any faster. The war is a living breathing entity. The public knows little of waging war and rely on media input to tell the sheep when its good, when its bad and when its ugly....

Obama is and was right on his position on Iraq and that is what makes him far and away the better candidate then Hillary. Hillary was never right on Iraq not in her Pre-war rhetoric, the IWR vote nor her multi-contorted stand on the war.

McCain is already changing the Debate in terms of a war that was waged for all the wrong reasons but was salvaged as a win and an heroic effort of our bravest. A war that is over, a peace that is being won, a grand plan where U.S. soldiers stand watch on the wall much like South Korea and Gitmo are today and as Berlin and Milan were in the 1940's and early 50's.

Oil trades at an incredible amount today. Iraqi oil is flowing by the millions of barrels. The money from Iraqi Oil is already being used to create this grand scheme.

Iraq will be the debate this summer and it won't be about Bush's old rhetoric either. Hillary cannot win the debate only Obama can.

11. Obama's reply to this
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WATixdtk6TI

Text:

I don't want anybody here to be confused.

I was opposed to this war in 2002. If it had been up to me we would have never been in this war. It was because of George Bush with an assist from Hillary Clinton and John McCain that we entered into this war. A war that should have never been authorized, a war that should have never been waged.

I have been against it in 2002, 2003, 2004, 5, 6, 7, 8 and I will bring this war to an end in 2009.

So don't be confused. Don't be confused. When Senator Clinton is not even willing to acknowledge that she voted for war. She says she voted for diplomacy despite the title that said authorization to use U.S. Armed Forces in Iraq. So I don't want to play politics on this issue because she doesn't have standing to question my position on this issue.

14. I will bring this war to an end in 2009... Maybe...
He repeatedly wouldn't commit to withdrawal within 10 years in debate after debate. Now after he has to do damage control for one of his advisers he's saying what Hillary was saying 6 months ago? How brave and forthright of him. Of course, she's the calculating, triangulating, poll-driven, typical politician. "He's only saying what any politician would have to say" is a non-excuse. Several other candidates called for immediate, complete withdrawal within 90 days. Obama just keeps talking about the vote he never actually had to make, not his actual repeated votes to continue the war. Brave, brave Obama... He is now in the same position as Hillary, but he appears to be moving backward while she forward.

15. This is pathetic
His position has been consistent and he has REPEATEDLY stated, that he intends to be "as careful getting out as we were careless getting in." The only lie is this video. These dishonest attacks on the Democratic frontrunner are only helping the Republicans. It's really pathetic.

16. That's a pretty despicable lying video...
...and it shows your gross misunderstanding of war.

There is a good reason why the people that wanted a "full pull out in 90 days" didn't get anywhere in the election....IT'S STUPID, and they never would have had a chance in the GE. Only the irrational on the FAR left would have voted for something so damn catastrophic.

Even people that are very against the war, those that have a brain, understand that getting out that fast will be a disaster. It will result in more people dying than we've killed so far.

Obama isn't going to make a promise he can't keep, and he NEVER MADE A PROMISE. He has said the we will be "as careful getting out as we were getting in." That's a stance with some thought put into it, and that kind of forethought will save many American lives.

This BS just lends justification to those on the right that say that many on the left just don't freaking get it. This BS is why Dems get called the "cut and run" party.

For the love of God, stop showing your ignorance and use your brain to think things through.

Do the math and understand who your nominee will be, and ask yourself if you think it's a good idea to put dumb crap like this out there.

18. Right wing talking point #1 : US Withdrawal would be catastrophic...
Right wing talking point #1 by McCain and others is that withdrawal would be catastrophic. Of course this is the judgment of those who have been wrong every step of the way and not backed up a single credible fact. It has in actuality been discredited by actual experience such as the UK pull out of Basra, and the drawn downs of every other nation that can no longer be bribed to stay. In the five years of this war there has never been an NIE that said thing would be worse if we left. Fear of being acted by the right is no excuse for continuing the war. Attacking others who point out facts as being ignorant is the same unprincipled, politics first attitude that Mr. O claims he is not a part of, hence the hypocrisy.

As far as 'the math', are you talking to Rove? It is pretty much even, and that is not good for Obama. Obama maniacs are the ones being destructive, doing exactly what they accuse the Clinton camp of.

19. Wow, you called me a repug and implied Rove is my buddy
All just because I made a good argument, which you couldn't argue on point. Calling someone ignorant, for me, is a spur in the ass to get people to do some research before spouting off. Especially when that spouting off is going to hurt the nominee.

Big surprise.

Listen up, I fucking hate repugs. That doesn't mean that they're ALWAYS wrong (though usually is fitting). I, frankly, am not all that thrilled with the cowardly Dems. I certainly don't think they are always right. The pugs don't want a pull out at all. I DO, but it has to be done right. I've studied war/military conflicts my entire life. It's a hobby of mine, and I can assure you that a massive pullout in a short amount of time will screw us right the fuck over, and get too many people killed. Again, just MHO, but I've read every (available) piece of intelligence I could get my hands on.

Oh, I'm not Barack, and I have no obligation do do things the way he does. I have my opinions and I voice them often in whatever way I damn well please. Don't call me a hypocrite because of it, or at least look up the word and use it in the proper context instead of throwing it around whenever it suits you. I've never done, said, or implied anything to the contrary of my previous statement.

Talking to Rove? You play about as Dirty as Clinton. Projection it's called, I believe. Dude, FUCK OFF you sorry asshole. I wouldn't listen to a word that fucker says, and if I ever had the chance I'd shove his words and my foot down his fucking throat. However, Hillary was quick to say "THANK YOU, KARL" when he pointed out she was born in October. There are plenty of people out there doing the math, and NO they are not even close to "pretty much even." She's over 100 delegates behind, and would have to win the rest of the contests with over 57% to even get "pretty much even."

Dude, you're ignorant. Just like the ass that made this video. Again, that's a spur for you to do some research and get a clue. Don't you dare insinuate I'm a repug sympathizer or Rove buddy again, Asshole. You're about to be the first person on my ignore list.
