Maybe you think they "may not have some of the necessities" to be entertaining, to paraphrase that Dodgers' manager from two decades ago. Or maybe you just avoid black entertainers for your own reasons, and have never given them a fair shot.

All I know is, your post isn't merely "politically incorrect"--what you're basically saying is that very few or no black people become successful on their own merits, but because they're BLACK, and white people HAVE to give Black people a hand because, let's face facts, Black people are a bunch of unskilled slobs with inferior brains. But, honestly, I get upset when PC-types give blacks a pass on bad behavior that they would never give a white person...and rightly so, no-one should get a pass on bad behavior. Andrew Dice Clay was called on his homophobia. Sam Kineson was beginning to see a backlash before he passed away. Eddie Murphy, however, still gets roles, has never paid any price for comments like, "I like to kid the homosexuals...because they homosexuals." I can't count how many times I heard or saw that performance when I was 16 and struggling with my own sexuality. And worse; I had to laugh along, to keep from outing myself.

So, yeah, I see a dark side to black comedy and rap music, so the poster above can call me a racist from his PC high horse all he wants. All blacks are not saints and all whites are not evil and that is the unwritten subtext of the PC code, whether they can admit it or not. I should not have said all black performers are not funny. But there are some on the posters list who are not particularly talented or funny, that probably receive passing grades from reviewers who do not want to run afoul of the PC code.

And, yes, I get a little angry when their candidate uses an ex-gay to court black christians (another really homophobic group, if you are on the receiving end) and gets a pass. Oh, see, he made a speech about how he disagrees with Mr. McClurkin. But actions speak louder than words and his actions were to give an ex-gay a thirty minute platform to spread his hate and give him a pay day for his troubles.

And, yes, I get a little angry when Ms. Ferraro is called a racist for making factual, statistical observations and Mr. Wright is praised for making actual racist, supremacist statements because she is white and he is black.

And, yes, I'm probably a little racist and I know I shouldn't judge every black person for the ones who are homophobic. I struggle with it everyday. I don't revel in it and I don't let it define me. But, I think, everyone is to a certain degree. But when you've experienced the homo-hate of the black community -- and it is a bigger and more prevalent segment of their culture than PC types want to admit -- and see a double standard so prevalent on these boards of late, it brings out the worst in you.

Which is why I am going to delete my account (as soon as the moderators tell me how, its easy to join, not so easy to quit) and just go on about my business.

Honestly, I think it was just a matter of wordplay, referencing how much Tina Fey's bit dealt with the word "bitch" itself. Out of context, yes, it seems misogynistic, but in context (i.e. considered along with the "bitch is the new black" thing) I'm pretty sure it was meant in the same clinical, semantic manner as the way Tina Fey used it.

He was using "bitch" to punctuate a declarative statement, which is something that is pretty common (for better or worse) in modern vernacular. "I'm Rick James, bitch," that kind of thing, which doesn't refer to any one person in particular, but rather, is just sort of like a sign-off at the end of a sentence.

In this context, it was a combination of that type of usage plus a call-back to the "bitch is the new black" thing three weeks ago.

I just don't think EVERYTHING lends itself to a cut-and-dried, sexist-vs.-not-sexist interpretation. Moreover, it's COMEDY - I seriously doubt comedy makes that big of an impact on the political discourse in this country. Other than, you know, when SNL does its blatant Hillary-shilling for several weeks and suddenly everyone takes it as gospel and thinks they're so justified in pointing out media bias against Clinton because "SNL said it was true."
