gotten me flamed, but I'm a Christian.

I do not believe that any people of "my faith" (I say that in quotes, because I don't know WHAT some of these nutjobs that claim to represent me are saying or thinking) have any business opening their traps while in uniform.

There should be consequences to shoving God down throats in the military, especially in a combat setting. The evangelicals are really driving me nuts. They think they are the end all to Christianity while there are no less than a few dozen denominations that I might be able to rattle off. A few of them are anti-evangelical.

The arrogance, ignorance, hypocricy, and self-righteousness of today's "Christians" is terrifying to me. At one point in my life I struggled with a decision whether to go to a seminary or college. Now I don't go to Church even though I'm still Christian. Did Christianity change with the takeover of the evangelical cultists, or did I?

My faith has changed and been all over the map throughout my life, but with increasing education about how Christianity came about and the provenance of the new testament, my last remaining ties to technical faith have fallen away. I still enjoy a close church community, though, and share your fear of today's christianites.
