with the way-too-loud "Rocky" theme echoing in the half-filled room.

1. Where was this?
The audience looked uniformly white.
Ridge and Lieberman accompanying McSame on a campaign stop -- why? To correct him when McSame makes a verbal gaffe?

16. If our morning NPR broadcast was correct

it was probably York, PA. York has fairly sizable black and Latino populations, but they wouldn't be the people primarily turning out for a McCain event. So your "uniformly white" assessment is pretty well on the money. I just wish they hadn't gotten Tom Ridge on board; while he may be a Republican, we was and is well-liked in this state. Too many Pennsylvanians still see McCain as "Mr. Maverick" (thanks so much, MSM), and if Ridge is named to the v-p slot, it could very well be the tipping point.

2. Does any one remember the Van Halen video "Right Now"??
HAHAHA It was a criticism of Republican policies. I expect a call from Eddie ala Bruce during Bush 41 campaign when GHWB tried to use "Born in the USA" :smoke:

9. i think sammy hagar is a repuke.......
....but i'm sure eddie is a dem. hopefully he'll call the mccain campaign and demand that he stop using the song.

who wrote the rocky theme? mccain should get a call from him as well.

pretty soon, the only music McCorpse will be able to use in his campaign will be ted nugent and charlie daniels songs and all that country music garbage. hah!

18. Yeah, and that was Van Hagar btw! A group I'm successfully erasing from my memory.
I saw the real =VH= twice! In Greensboro last september and Atlanta back in January of this year. No sense in mentioning that bridge troll drone anymore, since Diamond Dave has returned! :D

3. Mccain and Hilary using Rocky
laughable
Obama is the real Rocky. He came from nowhere. Single mom, humble background and no one believed he could get the nomination. Now he will be the President. He believed when no one else did. As a matter of fact, Michelle and Barack are both the story of Rocky. Humble backgrounds who made it. For those who remember, no one expected that movie to do anything. It was a "B" movie and it caught everyone's imagination. Same for Barack- go Barack- The real Rocky

15. Can we let Hillary and McCain stick to the Rocky Comparison
After all Rocky lost in the first Movie.

I 100% agree with that Barack Story is definately the Real life Rocky story
but considering how the movie ends. Let them have the Rocky theme!

8. Interesting . . . the pro-McCain forces seem barely interested . . .
But the MSM makes him out to be neck-and-neck with Obama, who's busily generating tidal waves of enthusiasm.

Which is closer to the truth?
