This is THE most despicable thing I've seen in days. Dobbs now tries to lend some credibility to the incredibly racist claims that loans to minorities were the cause of the crisis. Stupid, and evil. They quote an ACORN representative pointing out that those loans were a very small part of the overall picture, ignore that, and then go into "voter fraud" accusations, how ACORN is supposedly involved in voter fraud.

Hey, Lou, you idiot: those "voter fraud" cases were all wrapped up in the GOP/attorney general scandal. Federal AGs who didn't launch those phoney-baloney prosecutions against groups like ACORN were fired and replaced with partisan stooges. Jesus, what an ass.

1. Interesting accusation -- Bush and his admin introduced a package to benefit left-wing activists.
Fucking brilliant analysis.

Living wages
Living wage ordinances require private businesses that do business with the government to pay their workers a wage that enables them to afford basic necessities. ACORN has helped pass local living wage laws in fifteen cities including Chicago, Oakland, Denver, and New York City.<5> ACORN maintains a website that provides strategic and logistical assistance to organizations nationwide.

Katrina Relief
ACORN members across the country, particularly in the Gulf region, have organized fundraising and organizing drives to ensure that victims of Hurricane Katrina will receive assistance and will be able to return to affected areas. ACORN's Home Cleanout Demonstration Program has gutted and rebuilt over 1,850 homes with the help of volunteers. The ACORN Katrina Survivors Association formed in the aftermath of the storm is the first nationwide organization for Katrina survivors and has been working for equitable treatment for victims. Displaced citizens were bused into the city for the New Orleans primary and general elections. ACORN Housing Services have helped more than 2,000 homeowners affected by the storm and is an official planner working with the city on reconstruction.<6>

6. Dobbs is so full of shit. What a bunch of unsubstantiated RW drivel.
This is like blaming the Katrina victims for the hurricane. I used to work for Acorn, and yes, they've
come under some heavy fire from ReThugs because they really do lots of good stuff for lower income
people.

This is such an obvious slam on "community organizing groups" everywhere i.e. Obama's background.

I'm fuming.

7. Mr. Independent
For someone who claims to be an Independent, he does seem to be spending a disproportionate amount of energy trying to discredit Barack Obama and the Democratic Party. Not too long ago, he went on a rant about how the Liberal media (SNL) was picking on Sarah Palin. Has anybody heard a word from Dobbs about his apparent connection to "Obama Waffles"? Has he denounced that kind of behaviour?

Dobbs belongs on Fox News with his other fair and balanced friends.
