Instead she says they need to be the "party of legislation."

Gee, what a clever talking point, Norah. New one, the "party of investigation." Where did you get that one, Norah?

MSM pundits bloviate on how there's nothing to the US Attorney firing story beyond Democrats looking to score political points. Chris Matthews show.

1. Norah O'Donnell must be careful not to look like...
...what Voice Guy Extraordinaire Jim Ward calls her.

NGU.

3. There you go watching the Tweety show and his hit gang
That show comes on our local NBC affiliate at 6:30 AM on Saturday. It is enough to make me lose my eggs

11. Anyone catch Tweety the other night
when he derisively said that Al Gore wouldn't announce a run for the presidency until "after he's won a Nobel Peace Prize"? It was the tone of Tweety's voice that was more galling even than the words...a kind of spit-and-giggle sarcasm.

4. Guess democrats are getting to the republicans
since they are spinning incessantly...They are absolute scared to death of investigations. And they could be to more legislation if the republicans have been blocking it. So what does she say to that.

23. She seemingly has several bloated Republican Sugar Daddies who
lavish her with presents and praise for her efforts to do their dirty work.

She's a fist class Media Whore for the RNC. A true example of the old adage, "Beauty is only skin deep." Her ugly sentiments and school marm warnings to Democrats are above the top. She's all for submitting her views for the approval of powerful authoritarian Daddy figures who will forever promise to be her protector. :puke:

8. What a whore. She is apparently unaware that there has not been
NEARLY enough investigation and oversight over the last six years, which is why it's all coming due now--the 'Pugs spent their time as majority on committing and covering up corrupt activities, and we'll spend ours investigating them. Makes perfect sense.

10. Hey, Norah, remember the 1990's?
Jesus, all we had were investigations. And who was the party in power?

I swear, the MSM whores seem to forget everything before 2001.

There's some validity to it (GOP lost seats in 1996) but there does need to be some key investigations.

17. the difference is that these investigations are warranted...
There wasn't a single investigation by the Republicans into the Clinton administration that actually turned up any criminal activity, so their investigations were really nothing more than unabashed harassment.

In just three months, the Dem investigations have already resulted in the resignation of the AG's chief of staff and likely soon the AG himself. I can't wait to see what we'll get in the next three months!

Instead of telling the Dems not to be the "party of investigation," maybe Noron should tell her Republican bosses not to be the "party of corruption."

Hey Nora sit back and shut up while the Democrats find all the dirt on the GOP that you and your colleagues have been ignoring and covering for, for the last 6 years.

21. There's a good Salon article on this "The Most revealing 3 minutes video"
http://www.salon.com/opinion/greenwald/2007/03/26/matthews/index.html
There is a pass to go through - but worth it. Snippet:

These are not journalists who want to uncover government corruption or act in an adversarial capacity to check government power. Rather, these are members of the royal court who are grateful to the King and his minions for granting them their status.

Here are several of our media elites from our nation's most influential journalistic outlets -- including from Time, U.S. News & World Report, The New York Times, and NBC News -- all sitting around on the Chris Matthews Show giggling for three and a half minutes straight about the silly U.S. attorneys scandal. The whole thing is just a fun game for them, and it's absurd to them that anyone could take things like this seriously.

22. The public WANTS the Dems to be the party of investigation
That much is clear from several different polls.

See, e.g.: http://www.observer.com/20070402/20070402_Joe_Conason_opinions_conason.asp

When we control both the executive and Congress, then we'll be the party of investigation- and hopefully, the first order of business will be media divestment and re-regulation.
