Obama speaks to 100,000 supporters in St. Louis, Missouri just 17 days before the election.

Obama told the crowd, "We cant let up, we"ve got to keep making our case for change. We"ve got to keep fighting for every vote. We"ve got to keep running through that finish line.

This election is too important to take anything to take anything for granted. The future that you and I seek for our children is too important to let up now. The change is coming, if we work."

3. My daughter wanted to go today,
but we did not. Honestly, I don't think I could take riding in her car for over two hours and then fighting that crowd; plus she would have had to push me in my wheel chair. (I can walk short distances, but am limited in my being on my feet too long)

When I saw how many people were there, I said "Oh, they didn't miss having two more there."

When she saw how many people were there she said, " Oh, I could have been a part of that."

The difference between being young/healthy and old/sick. ;)

6. I have a friend who took his wife and son, both of whom were in
wheelchairs. They were 20 feet from where Barack Obama entered under the Arch. By the time I knew they were there it was too late for me to join them! You'd have had a prime seat, from what I've heard. I was about 100 yards from the arch but I don't like to be inside a crowd like that so I moved to the back. I could hear him but not as well as where I left. I was excited just to be a part of the largest crowd in St Louis since 1904.

It was cool, also just to see all of those people together, black, white, Jew, Gentile, Muslim, immigrant. The crowd looked like America, which is something I don't see when they pan the crowd at McSame/Palin ralliles.

THIS is why we need to get Obama in the white house. Not even Bill Clinton in 1992 attracted crowds like this and he got some large crowds! I hate to see what happens if the pugs are successful at stealing this one as well. I don't think it'll be pretty, not with the hate that's been incited at their rallies.

7. I agree, I don't think it will be good if they steal this one either.
The problems that my daughter and I have are many and it makes us have trouble sometimes. I am a planner while she is a procrastinater. She woke me up after 9 (I slept in today) to ask me if I wanted to go. It takes us over 2 hours to drive to St. Louis so by the time we would get ready and the wheelchair in the car, then it would already be after 10 a.m.. Not a good time line.

Next is the fact that my wheelchair takes up a lot of room in her small hatchback car. I don't think I could stand setting cramped up in the car for the two and a half hours. My legs would be cramping really bad and the fluid would also be building up. Now if she had bought a mini van, like I suggested, then we could have made the trip easily. The way it is, it is very hard for me to ride in the car for long periods of time.

Third and last, my daughter does not like for me to get the special privileges that come from me being handicapped. It embarrasses her. When I told her that we would probably get up close because of my wheelchair, she then decided she didn't want to go. She then decided she did want to go, but by that time it was too late as far as I was concerned. It was way past 10.

I'm glad your friends and you got to go and enjoy it. I'll bet it was something great to be a part of. I don't like to be in large crowds either and that was another reason that I dreaded to go to it. Maybe if he comes around some other time, we will get to go to it.
