Its not up on NBC yet, so i cant post that along with this post.
I'm sure someone else will cause we all know what happens to these clips on youtube at some point.
I think its fair use though, its a presidential candidate for the United States Of America for crying out loud,as scary as that is to say.

48. I agree - I think there is no love lost here
I think Lorne Michaels wanted her on the show, and most (if not all) of the staff and writers did not, so there must have been some serious tension.

I think she has an alaskan accent but not as pronounced as she wants us to beleive.

46. Accents tend to do that. My grandmother was from WV and moved to Baltimore.
She lost her WV accent and developed the Baltimore accent. One of her sisters came to visit from WV. She talked to her sister for about 5 minutes and her WV accent came right back. It was like she had never left WV. I once moved to South Carolina. It wasn't until I went to back to Baltimore for a visit that I realized I had developed a southern accent. By the time I got back to South Carolina. I had my Baltimore accent back.

19. I love Amy Poehler (and Tina Fey).
Amy can do the stupidest, most idiotic stuff in the world, make herself look like a total fool, but at the same time be freaking hilarious and just crack me up.

When is her baby due?? They were letting her do more stuff tonight away from the Weekend Update desk, and boy, did she look HUGE!

I'm gonna really miss her when she leaves the show.

40. Yeah, but. Palin is a racist. Indiginous Alaskans
are on her sh*t list. So, I found the "Eskimos" rap offensive. Why should she get to use them that way? Is it possible SNL isn't aware of her racism?

53. Oh, I think they are very aware. That was part of the put down -- that Palin would think "eskimos"
are her "back up homies."

Yeah the whole thing was a layered, amazing satire.

They ripped her to shreds right under her nose.
She sat there, totally NOT in on the joke, as if it was a good bit.
How stupid.

But they (SNL writers) relied on the fact that she wouldn't get it.
In fact, the first part, where she says she won't do it... that's part of the joke too (like not doing the debate).

That was a miracle.

She spends all of her time with "pro American" parts of the country, why does she have to use rap to look hip?

Isn't rap, "anti-American" from those "Anti American" parts of the country"

23. I went to the Palin rally yesterday in Indiana and their music
was ridiculous. I was there with four other Indiana CODEPINK members. We couldn't let her come to our backyard without being there to greet her. There was some band playing a song that kept saying, "drill here, drill now!" And the party of family values played the song If The House Is A'rockin', Don't Come A'Knockin'. Twice! We thought that was a rather inappropriate choice of music for an event where there were lots of families with children.

she was a total nothing. She couldn't do that rap? that would have been funny. natalie portman did it. I thought she was uptight and they totally skewered her.

Yeah, they do other pols-- but they had SO much to play with here, and it wasn't just little odd things about her. They called her out on her hate.

She was uptight and a nothing. I don't get "the camera loves her" as the freeps were saying -- not at all -- and that is a drag, but I was so hoping Fox would offer her a job and she would at least be removed from the political arena.

Way to go, SNL. I felt the distaste from here!

edit to add: there was never a single on her - only a two shot and from far away. It looked like they were desperate for attention and she couldn't even hold the camera for a single shot. Sorry, she flunked.

Don't these people realize that they've just given this bitch a boost? It makes her look as if she has a great sense of humor about herself.

It's bad enough that the polls are tightening because of the charity dinner and Letterman appearances that McCain did. If the head writer of SNL is an Obama supporter, WTF was this about? I don't care how critical it's SUPPOSED to be...all people will see is how "cute" it is that Sarah Moosebreath can take a joke.

I don't see why the rest of you can't see this. :(

58. Chill. It won't help her. It marginalizes her.
At this moment, Americans want a serious leader they can trust to deal with all the wars we have going on and the utter collapse of our financial system. While this sketch might have let Palin appear more likable on a personal level, she will not gain any votes with hiphop Eskimos and by shooting a dancing moose. I loved that moose.

We got the votes. We got the GOTV forces. The only thing that stops this now is massive election fraud.

That's why McCain was initially so popular with 'The Daily Show" and other comedy shows. He is willing to mock his own positions because he believes in little of what he says. If these people were actually passionate about what they were doing, they might actually get offended.

I find it vaguely immoral to give a racist hatemonger of Sarah Palin's caliber a platform to strut on for her own aggrandizement when she is unwilling to give a simple press conference. Fey's imitation of Palin in this episode was completely toothless as a result of being presented in the context of "it's all a big joke." Palin's encouragement of violence and hate is not a joke. It's a tragedy.

47. I think we need to give SNL some credit - here's why
On the one hand, it is somewhat magnanimous of them to allow her to come on their show and give her the chance to do something funny that might make her more appealing to the SNL audience. But you also have to realize that on a more subtle level, this had to be EXTREMELY uncomfortable for Governor Palin for several reasons. The cast of Saturday Night Live is obviously leaning to the liberal side of politics, and they are a hell of a lot smarter than her. So they also knew that this would also be a prime opportunity for them to give her a chance to make fun of herself a bit. But instead of doing that, she essentially allowed the cast to do it for her, and so she came across as a bit more stiff, and it also meant that she excluded herself from the process in which she might have been able to tone it down, or at least tweak it to her liking. Sure, she came on the show, but she seems to have demurred from really participating, particularly on this sketch. This skit in particular has what I would perceive as a lot of thinly-veiled jabs at Governor Palin, such as the fact that they used a rap song instead of something that might be more to her liking. Needless to say, most of the Palin fanbase is not a fan of rap, to put it mildly, so to force her to use that genre for her song was at the least a minor dig. And I also think that may be a reason, if not THE reason, why Palin herself did not do the song, although I am willing to bet that was the original intent of the writers. The inclusion of "Todd", Eskimos and the moose would also seemingly be intended as minor jabs, and I am not sure how else they could be interpreted. So if this was supposed to be Palin's chance to make herself seem a bit more down to earth, she failed. And SNL grabbed the ball she dropped and ran with it. Amy Poehler was just brilliant. I mean, come on, a gangsta Palin busting a cap in the moose? That is some funny shit. And I am sure that the racist redneck base of hers didn't appreciate it, which just warms the evil little cockles of my heart.

56. Exactly! Biggest. Satire. Ever. Beats the Obama NYer cover by a mile.
Really.
Everybody needs to calm down and LOOK at what they did to her, right in front of her face.
She has NO CLUE.
That's the joke.

That entire rap is the most layered awesome satire I've ever seen.
Wow!

Those particular SNL writers rule. (too bad they couldn't have Adam Sandler as an Eskimo)

59. And Alec Baldwin saying that shit to her face?
Oh. My. God. The Stephen Baldwin "comeback" just doesn't even compare. He stomped her, right to her face, with Loren Michaels standing right next to her. And Tina Fey once again let her have it with both barrels. It was fucking scathing. And Governor Palin had a ringside seat to it all.

The lyrics to the rap song were just priceless, as was Poehler's delivery. To say that somehow this boosted Palin's image in the public's eye seems a bit of a stretch. I just don't see it.

61. shooting the moose
and the gun shots at the end, really said a lot about who Palin is. Also liked: All the plumbers in the house pull your pants up. It was a nice nod to Gilda, Dan and Bill and the plumber sketch from early SNL days.

She's hard to watch (Palin), but I think it's also revealing that she didn't get much to say. They made a joke out of her with her going along with it. She looks like an idiot.

That whole bit summed up who Palin is. She's a horror of a candidate.
