This was interesting and is a good first step towards trying to heal the rift that was (threatening) the party between minorities and homosexuals.

Whatever is making Rachel sick must really be killing her! Look at those bags under her eyes. Poor Rachel.

I would hate to see the progressive community split into bitterly opposing camps because of this issue. I was glad to see Rachel point out that there are plenty of other demographic factors just as important as race when it came to views on Prop 8.

I vaguely remember an old quotation. I have no idea where it came from. "We must all hang together, or we will all hang separately." Don't let the Repugs use wedge issues to divide you!

"the poor and less educated among us" who she explains largely voted for prop 8 happens to be a group that has a disproportionately larger percentage of African-americans, so naturally a statistical spike will show up for that group, even if the cause-and-effect is more income/education level than color. It's an old story of blaming race for something that is caused by non-racial factors that happen to correlate.
