1. This is one sharp lady...and we were one fortunate nation to have her...
...in our service. She could deal with such complex messes that not even bush and co. could imagine making such a mess.

2. I mean with Osama yeah he's nuts but I'm not too comfortable with calling world leaders nuts, even >

if they are questionable in their actions. A more diplomatic phrase would be they are a 'concern'. Don't feel it helps relations just saying oh they're crazy. But Osama he's no world leader so hey he's crazy. Otherwise a very good interview from Albright and she was asked leading questions to state that. In Bill Mahar case he can say whatver as well he is a comeidian.

3. Murderin' Madeline.
Never forget.

Let's go back to 12 May 1996. Madeleine Albright, the US Secretary of State, had told us that sanctions worked and prevented Saddam from rebuilding weapons of mass destruction (WMD). Our Tory government agreed, and Tony Blair faithfully toed the line. But on 12 May, Mrs Albright appeared on CBS television. Leslie Stahl, the interviewer, asked: "We have heard that half a million children have died. I mean, that's more than died in Hiroshima. And, you know, is the price worth it?" To the world's astonishment, Mrs Albright replied: "I think this is a very hard choice, but the price, we think the price is worth it."

4. Oh how nice, more Chavez-bashing. Yeah, that's what we need right now...
Bashing leaders who actually make policy that benefit the poorest people in his country, bridge the gap between rich and poor, and throwing out corporations which sucked the country dry.
