St. Catharines Workers United Local 2347 Wins with Overwhelming Community Support

"It's been a long time coming, but Diane and her co-workers finally have the union they wanted," said Alex Dagg, Canadian director of the new-formed Workers United yesterday. The union increased pressure on Holiday Inn-St Catharines after the employer fired organizer Diane Barnim for rallying her co-workers. Watch video about more than 500 people who supported Diane, including actors Sarah Polley, Danny Glover, Harry Belafonte and parliament members Peter Kormos and Malcolm Allen.
