One of the biggest criticisms over FDR's New Deal was that after things appeared to be righting themselves, he stopped the spending to reign in the deficit. This resulted in an economic relapse, forcing the country back to square one. Today, the GOP is ignoring history and encouraging Obama and his administration to stop spending because the economy is getting "better." Mike Papantonio of Air America's Ring of Fire appears on Your World with Neil Cavuto to explain why stopping the spending now will only result in a bigger economic collapse.

1. What absolutely, positively needs to be done is to
get our living wage manufacturing jobs back into this country, ASAP! Without doing that, anything else we do is just diddling with the symptoms and delaying the inevitable - Total economic collapse.

2. what a manipulating sack of shit
all those months in '08 when all of those finance guys said we were not in a recession, and to go out and buy stock in companies that were doomed. Now it looks like the slightest glimmer of recovery on the horizon and they want to pull back now and decry the spending. They really do hope the recovery will fail, because if we succeed, Obama will be elected again in 2012. They hope we go bankrupt, and into a depression, so they can put a Puke back in the WH in 2012. Those are the only concerns, 'the Gingrich-types' have. That is the ONLY horse they have in this race. Rat-bastards. The Gingrich that stole Christmas.

3. Mike Papantonio is an artist of taking that negative energy...
..and moving it forward with a positive outcome. He was masterful in stroking this sour egghead's ego while showing what an idiot he was, and at the same time the moron nods his head in agreement and pleasure at being "stroked".

Mike is brilliant. This prick is typical right wing nuttery.

4. I love the GOP'ers being so angry - it is not even 100 days - they've got a lot of stress to go!

They make me laugh - this is only going to give them all psychological issues after 4 years. (make that 8) and slowly the youth of this country are going to move further and further away from this dirt spewing filth machine.

Population centers in this country are continuing to grow in more regions of the US - and where there are population centers, there are Democratic swings. It feels good to be in this time of our lives, don't it?
