Only a Republican would think that a low-level government employee makes too much money. And only a Republican would focus on that fact instead of the 500 to 1 ratio of CEO to employee pay. I work for my state government and I would love to make $40.00 an hour.
I'd like to know how they came up with that figure.
Is it the average of all gov. employees from the POTUS to the local city clerk ?

8. hate to it, boys. the gop is wrong on most issues but dead-on right here.

i've worked in both sectors - not even close. plus, wife is a federal worker with no college. pulls in 90k salary, 5 weeks vac, 3 weeks sick-time, 4 day work-week, great benefits, total job security. and, oh yeah, in 2 years when she retires at 55, you taxpayers will pay her most her salary and all of her benefits for the rest of her life. not too shabby!
