2. Ummmm.....Most (if not all) of these pix are from Cedar Rapids (IA) flooding A YEAR AGO --
Edited on Mon Apr-13-09 02:12 PM by Sal Minella
I know people in Cedar Rapids who received help from FEMA following the flooding, so the propaganda being catapulted by this video falls rather flat.

The flooding news this year is all from North Dakota, so it seems more than a little dishonest to make an alarmist video from year-old photos from a different state.

What's your point here??? Other than (perhaps) trying to stir up a shitstorm of some sort???

I'm sure there's video of it somewhere that could be added to this video

4. What the heck? It's FLOODING IN IOWA right now?
:wow:

FYI:

I'm in downtown Waterloo right now (where the shot at 3:47 was taken) and the river is well w/in it's banks.

I remember seeing videos like this after the floods and a whole bunch of 'Why didn't Iowans need the Government help?' posts on FB and elsewhere.

(Oh...and don't tell anyone...but there are more than just middle-aged white farmers in Iowa....shhhhhhhhhhh). :eyes:

9. Cedar Rapids, Iowa (mostly) and Waterloo -- during last summer's flood.
I think the poster of the video wants us to believe:

(a) flooding of a river out of its banks is a catastrophe equivalent to a Cat 5 hurricane with busted levee in a major city, and

(b) Obama's "Emergency Management" responses are no better than W's. Think he/she is trying to make us feel bad for giving W such a bad time about the handling of Katrina -- he/she is implying that the Obama/FEMA people are handling this flood no better than the W people (Skeletor and Brownie) handled the aftermath (and/or foremath) of Katrina.

But since the pix are from Iowa a year ago, I'm not about to believe anything the OP person tells me.....

11. And that Obama became President January 20, 2009
So I'm not sure what he was supposed to do for Iowa in June of 2008.

10. floods in Iowa
This whole video is a farce most of this happened last June and i happened to be visiting our son in Iowa at that time . And I will guarantee that Fema was called and the levees were breeched and they raised all kind of hell about it . They are still fighting in several cities to get there help. The city i was visiting in was without running water for 5 days they put Porte potties all over the city . They had a 10Pm curfew and there was a lot of hell raised because the levies failed
