...he didn't know what to do. Everyone was like, "Look, Sean. Give it up. This is petty."

4. As asshole to the bitter end
After Bernie ridicules his attempt to ridicule the President and even calls him "petty," he still tries to wrap it all up at the end with his "then I won you over?" bit to Goldberg. All Goldberg does is shake his head and laugh in the man's sad little face...

5. hannity: "They raced to grab the credit..."
What f*cking parallel universe is he living on? Again, it would be funny if his audience received their "news" from other sources, but I can just imagine they are digesting his every word.

Why is he and others like him given a forum?

9. Like Gloria Borger writes..
"Here's the problem: If Republicans can't allow that the president did his job well in this unambiguous case, why should we believe their complaints about anything else? If they can't pat him on the back for this one, why should we even listen to their arguments about the budget, about health care, about energy?

10. Dear Hannity; you are, in fact, telling an UNTRUTH. Do you KNOW
Edited on Tue Apr-14-09 09:57 PM by LynnTheDem
this? Are you PURPOSELY LYING?

Or are you just IGNORANT of the truth?

FACT: Pres. Obama was NOT "legally required to sign on". Pres. Obama was NOT "legally required to give the order".

FACT: ONLY THE PRESIDENT has the LEGAL AUTHORITY to ORDER the use of lethal force. As in ONLY Pres. Obama had the legal right to say YES OR NO to use of lethal force.

HIS CHOICE. HIS DECISION.

Now really, Hannity, that is something a teenager can easily understand.

Why can't you?

11. Obama wasn't exactly running up to the podium to grab credit.
What report was Hannity watching? If anything, Obama and his administration's response was very, very muted.

12. Fuck Goldberg

"The right shouldn't act like the left"

That is an insult. If anything those of us on the left are more willing to put the good of our nation above the good of our party. For him to imply otherwise is an insult.

There are many things Bush did that I agree with because they were (in my view) in the best interest of the world and the country. The HIV/malaria program. Signing a bill to help rehabilitate prisoners. The TARP fund.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/sen-dick-durbin/challenging-ourselves-to-_b_87196.html

Dick Durbin: While I don't agree with the president about much, we both feel that improving access to health care is one of the most important things our country can provide to the people of Africa. He has made good on his commitment by proposing to spend $30 billion over five years to combat global AIDS through the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR). I'm proud of this program and will work in the Senate to make sure that it is not only funded but expanded.

Fuck Goldberg for saying that we are the ones who engage in that behavior. I would almost shit myself in surprise if the radical right wing put fixing the countries problems above helping their party. The way that 0 republicans in the house were allowed to vote for the stimulus? After that you are going to imply it is those of us on the left? The way most of them seem to mindlessly oppose bank nationalization? Fuck Goldberg for implying it is those of us on the left who put politics above country.

If Bush had made a cure for cancer, I would've baked him a pie myself and hand delivered it. One of my close friends in college lost her best friend to cancer.

13. jeez. I think I actually despise Goldberg more than Hannity.
At least Hannity is loyal to a position; he's in the Republican opposition, so opposition to Obama we should expect. Goldberg is loyal to no one, loyal to no idea, and seems to think he is better than everyone else, when in fact the opposite is true. Truly a scum-sucking bottom-dweller, even lower than Hannity.

15. Poor InsaHannity - he looked like a school kid who got yelled at for giving teacher an apple

Love it when he tried to squeeze that little itsy bitsy teeny bit of political toothpaste out of an already empty issue. 'but... but...' Now he's going to take all his aggression out tomorrow with his tea bagging minions -

I SWEAR he reminds me of the evil Nathan Lane - just like Elizabeth Montgomery had her 'evil' Serena in Bewitched.

17. Hannity owned and called petty on his own show and network, by another winger.
Edited on Thu Apr-16-09 11:02 AM by Mayberry Machiavelli
All right, so Goldberg gets +1 point to go against his -1000 points, for taking a reasonable and common sense view on this one issue.

And how cheap to get "so I won you over?" as the last line.

Reminds me of the Jim Carrey character in "Dumb and Dumber" asking the love interest what his odds were of getting together with her, and she said "Honestly? About a million to one", after which his eyes light up and he says "so YOU'RE SAYING THERE'S A CHANCE!"
