Employees At NC Domino's Fired After Posting Video On YouTube
CONOVER, NC -- Two employees at a Domino's in Conover are without a job after one employee posted video of another sneezing on food and sticking it up his nose.

The video shows a guy stuffing cheese up his nose, and then putting it on a pizza. Another video shows the same employee sneezing and spitting on sandwiches.

He also takes a sponge, rubs its on his bare backside and uses it to scrub the dishes.

Corporate headquarters for Domino's sent the following statement to CBS affiliate WBTV:

"We are shocked, appalled, disgusted and angry about the behavior of these two errant individuals. Their display does not reflect the attitudes and behaviors of 125,000 hard-working men and women across the country and in 60 countries around the world. While they work for an independent - and innocent - franchise owner in North Carolina, we expect their employment to be terminated and we are reviewing our legal options as well."

Domino's Vice President of Communications Tim McIntyre said the franchise owner of the Conover Domino's is innocent.

WBTV also received an email from a woman claiming to be the employee behind the camera. She swears none of the food was ever delivered to customers and it was all a joke.

1. I worked for Domino's Pizza for 10 years;
In OH, KY, AZ, NV and VA. I seem to recall that that is actually Corporation Training in action.

:shrug:

2. Another reason why food prep and waiting tables should be high paying, respected jobs for adults.

3. Respect for your work comes with how you do your job.
I've been waited on by many servers who were courteous and exceptional at their jobs, and when I tip them that is reflected.

I took my niece and nephew to an Italian bistro a few years ago. The server was so nice to the kids that not only did she get a big tip, but she earned my respect and respect of the kids. I'll bet that her attitude while serving food will be the same attitude she brings to any job she gets.

So no matter what your job, or how much you get paid for doing it, you should always perform it with dignity and respect. Because no matter what, we are all in the business of serving someone. And respecting your job is the only way anyone will take your claim for better compensation seriously.

So please don't rationalize this abhorrent behavior by saying these people were acting out because they don't get paid enough or aren't respected enough.

No one who is middle-class gets paid enough, but most of us still manage to do our jobs without endangering the health or well-being of our customers.

Pathetic.
