That and other assorted misinformation about how much Texas gets back from Federal taxes that it puts in, backpeddling on Governor Perry's comments and a host of other 'fun' stuff.

7. I'd say they're well represented.
On balance there's much to be said for the proposition that people get the government they deserve.

3. Great to see Matthews strike back while still holding punches - he coulda let him have it too

But he was being nice to a new guest - who he no doubts wants to have back to beat up again later.

6. I'd like to see them break into 5 states - west texas is democratic, austin, dallas, houston etc

you'd have 5 states, 4 of which would be Democratic - which is why they would NEVER even consider it. It's all bluster.

13. As a native Houstonion/Texan, please believe me when I say...
...the majority of people, here(in Houston) are pretty much the same as the rest of the country, about 15% are just pissed off because, as Jeneane Garofalo put it(paraphrased), they are upset that a "negro" is the president, they can't say that directly, so they state things that make them look like sociopaths instead of saying what they truly think. There are many more people here that hated Bush and voted for Obama. There are also a percentage of a$#holes.

PLEASE do not fall into the trap of saying "those Texans" or "those people from New Jersey", etc. That is what you call prejudice. There are many here that are fighting for what's right, like Molly Ivins did.

I watched the monstrosity that was the Culberson interview, I was laughing, crying and angry at the same time. One of the most selfish dicks I've seen.

15. You got that right
I am ashamed this idiot is my Congressman. I went to send him an email, but in order to do it, they require all kinds of filtering info, including a phone number! So, I typed in his.

In any event, I told him not to pretend to speak for ME. I told him if he wanted the federal government to leave Texas alone, Texas should send back all federal education money, all grants that go to our medical centers and universities, and then he should pack up his office and come home. And give back his FEDERAL paycheck. I don't expect a response.
